Mr Snackette
Not a bad meeting and very good value for money. Kc100 (around £3) for admision and programme. Mind you not sure how financially viable this all is, with the likes of Hancock and Ulamek programmed for 5 rides each plus a nominated ride. I wouldn't have thought there were any more than 500 there last night, and the majority of those appeared to be following Mseno. Interesting race format: 15 heats, 7 riders, 1 to 4 each have 5 programmed rides each. 5 & 6 are juniors with #5 programmed for 5 rides, and #6 just 1. #7 rider has no programmed rides but appears can substitute any of the 1 to 4 riders at any time. This was useful for Prague, as Davey Watt crashed in his first ride, took no further part, and consequently was replaced by Adrian Rymel for the rest of the meeting. What criteria is used for the #7 is unclear, I assume it is lowest average of riders 1 to 4, but perhaps someone in the know could enlighten us? As expected Hancock and Ulamek were a class apart, but young Matej Kus gave it a good go, and fully deserved his extra ride. Not sure about the criteria for #7, but you could always post the question on the Discussion Forum ( "Diskuse" ) on http://www.zlataprilba.cz , and I am sure Petr Moravec will be able to clarify (In English too) Glad you enjoyed the meeting. I hope this new league format (For the Czechs) takes off and is a success, as oppossed to the their old 4TT format. As for the financial viability, you do have a point, but I dont think that the "big guns" will ride every meeting, although I do think that Prague will use Leigh Adams next Tueaday against Pardubice, as that meeting has probably already become a must win fixture for them. jardakiss
Czech TV report: http://www.ceskatelevize.cz/ivysilani/210471290650001-motocyklove-zavody/ Mr Snackette is right - rider #7 can substitute any of the 1 to 4 riders at any time. However with the maximum of 5 heats (not including final heat). Rider #5 could be replaced with junior rider only. Final heats: Heat no. 14 - 3rd and 4th best riders (including #7) of both teams after heat 13 (could be replaced with #7, tactical reserve or JOKER) Heat no. 15 - 1st and 2nd best riders (including #7) of both teams after heat 13 (could be replaced with #7, tactical reserve or JOKER) Edited April 16, 2010 by J.CZ
