Odds On
Where were you in heat three? If you call that boring I'm afraid there's little hope for Speedway! Exactly, what really happened in that heat?! Up until heat 6 it was follow the leader, unless a rider hit a rut or was pushed wide on the first bend. However it did improve there afterwards! racers and royals
Unlikely, as the FIM contractor for Cardiff (as well as Gothenburg, Copenhagen & Vojens) in terms of track installation & preparation is Speedsport A/S, as it has been for the last few years. Got back late last evening and throughly enjoyed GP-I have been amongst the first to critisise Ole Olsen in the past for track preparation, but congratulate him and his "temporary track" team for this one. They got the watering spot on as the track didnt have any water put on during the meeting. They used unusual grading methods, with heavy rollers going round, which certainly worked really well. Ht 3: Rune Holta ( the Norse Pole) was excluded for Tape-touching, so Klindt got a run. He gated really well but AJ got him at the end of turn two then Chris Holder screwed it on and went hanging it out round the outside for a lap or so from 4th to 2nd and was oh, so close to getting past AJ but he managed to hold Chris off. Oh, and did I mention that a certain three-time Danish World Champ finished stone-motherless last? Well, in case you missed it, Nicki was stone-motherless last. My only gripe was that we didn't get a good look at the Sheila in the White until heat 15; didn't help me picking the best Start Tart in our little usual-suspects sweepstake. As it was, even tho' I reckoned Blue took it out by a something-hair, we decided it was better to have all four back - to my place!!
Sir Jasper
Better than Leszno? I watched it, first GP live in ages. Impressed with Harris, his bikes weren't the quickest but he showed some maturity in his selection of lines. Hampel is finally getting the credit ge deserves after some hard work. Interestingly poised this series. Pretty much agree with you ref Harris. I expected a lot more from Pedersen and can only see his partnership with Andersen only being beneficial if they can develop a relationship. One thing I think the scoring has to be tweaked is the scoring I dont get why you are not rewarded for getting into the semi's and finals How many riders tied on 13 points?
