Blazeaway
Top notch as ever from Copenhagen. Made up for Jarek KB a tad unlucky but that's racing. Chris Holder is a breath of fresh air and his attitude is superb. When did Nicki switch to using Vespa engines? Slow all night
Trees
Some decent racing for a change, should have sorted out the outside earlier than they did though, luckily no riders got badly injured, Heuwen told it like it is, "they have a schedule to keep, it's a break now so they can sort it" .......... never mind the lives/bodies/livelihoods of the riders, as long as the schedule is kept to, but that's modern day televised speedway! Chris Holder is a breath of fresh air and his attitude is superb Let's hope he can keep that always eh. Particularly had to smile when, after Crumpy had been signalling to his team re the gate position he should pick for his semi, Chris, with only one to pick from, did the same to his team Edited June 6, 2010 by Trees
Odds On
Never ceases to amaze me how some folks can't wait to post this type of pre-conceived statement - must have been after at least one heat, but before the third, which was the first of several exciting races. My comment was made around heat 6, up until then it was boring, however it did improve thankfully. Maybe my idea of excitment is far different to yours, entertainment is the business speedway is in, I'd hardly say the first 6 heats were entertaining, or maybe I'm wrong!! philfromcov
now we have a new non dane track man the gatting tarts are struggling! excellent pedersson on a 250 2 stroke i think!

Hazzman
seconded here could NOT have put it any better , the best GP in 2010 Lucky Better than Leszno? I watched it, first GP live in ages. Impressed with Harris, his bikes weren't the quickest but he showed some maturity in his selection of lines. Hampel is finally getting the credit ge deserves after some hard work. Interestingly poised this series.

SCB
Some pretty good racing and as the commentary team pointed out, 12 heats in and 10 different heat winners. Any GP where Bomber makes the podium and Nicki P is crap will make me happy Just a shame Hampel won, is he really World Champion material? I guess GP results in 2010 suggest so but IMO, many better riders have faile din the past. As things stand, I want Tomasz Gollob do to it this season

I guess GP results in 2010 suggest so but IMO, many better riders have faile din the past. As things stand, I want Tomasz Gollob do to it this season I would say injuries have held him backj in previous years but now he is coming of age and as the usual faces dont match up each GP, then he could easily win the title. As it looks like the new faces are pushing forward, I too would love Gollob to lift the title as a just reward for the years of action he has given the speedway fans with his racing. Hampel, Holder, Lindgren etc have years ahead of them still Apart from thos ruts on the outside which made some riders try different lines to avoid them, it was a decent GP in the end and shows that these man built tracks can work. Hope they use a good surface for Cardiff ..... as they use British track staff, will they get Doc Bridgett involved at Cardiff as he is possibly the best around these days as results have shown week in week out, year in year out. Unlikely, as the FIM contractor for Cardiff (as well as Gothenburg, Copenhagen & Vojens) in terms of track installation & preparation is Speedsport A/S, as it has been for the last few years. home straight
I want Tomasz Gollob do to it this season I'd agree with that, he's the best current rider never to have won a world championship imo. Although frankly I'd settle for anybody other than Jason, Nicki or Greg, nothing at all against those three guys, but I think we're desperate for a new winner, off the top of my head, i think it was 2003 that we last had a fresh winner in Nicki, so we're crying out for a new world champ I reckon. Gemini
I struggled to hear all that was being said by Nigel and Kelvin at times. Perhaps they've been reading the comments on the forum about Nigel and decided to turn his volume down a bit? Actually I think he's fine and so is Charlie, who also seems to get some stick on here. pandorum
makes you wonder where exactly some people watch speedway if this was boring. Must be a helluva track. If there was passing every bend for every lap for every race someone would say it was not as good as Scunthorpe last week. Excellent meeting from start to finish. Tai did well and was unlucky to run three lasts at the end. He beat three of the worlds best riders in one race so is capable thats for sure. Good to see Chris do well. He earned his SF place and was a threat in the final. Good lad. Lets see more of that. Jampel deserved his win and if he ends up #1 fair play to him. I would prefer to see Tomas Gollob do it as the guy is the best there is and has been for many years now. sad to see Nicki, Jason and Greg struggle but they will be back thats for sure. Peter Prot is not an adequate replacement for Emil thats for sure so hopefully we will see him at Cardiff and not the Pole. Good crowd and they made plenty of noise. A great advert for the sport. Kelvin sounded worn out. Let's see it continue and provide a fitting world championship season and a fitting world champion. Sotonian
Tai did well and was unlucky to run three lasts at the end. How is running three lasts unlucky? One, maybe, but three suggests that the lone win was the lucky result.

From what I saw of him at Torun 2 weeks ago he flies round there racing lines most of the others wouldn't try (was beaten only by Holder I think in 6 races). With Crump & Pedersen not dominating this time, Hancock on the dip, Adams gone, Gollob'll never have a better opportunity of becoming world champ.
