castrolargh
why is schram brundle and ty in this meetign they never raced together???? dissapointed with the line up maybe they never raced together but be good to see schrammy back, and with ty and olly they will not be short on fire power , and with millsy looking to impress anyone who may offer him a team slot, lambert and brundle not exactly strangers to the na and ashleys bro in the side i reckon it will be closer than a lot of pl meetings we will see this year. jotrez
I agree with some of the comments, i'm disappointed that last week JC said that they would hope to get as many riders who had connections with Ash as possible (like they have done other years) and in fact half of them had no connection at all! obviously i understand that some others may have been contacted and turned it down before anyone says that! crikeythatsfast
I hope this gets well supported by the fans, such a great guy Ash and I am sure we all miss him dearly. It's for a good cause too
rhidassa
LINE-UP: Kings Lynn Stars: 1. Tomas Topinka 2. Linus Eklof 3. Kozza Smith 4. Joe Haines 5. Kevin Doolan 6. Casper Wortmann 7. Ricky Wallace Ashley Jones Select: 1. Ty Proctor 2. James Brundle 3. Chris Schramm 4. Chris Mills 5. Olly Allen 6. Mark Jones 7. Simon Lambert c/o KLStars.co.uk: All roads lead to the Norfolk Arena in King’s Lynn at 7:30pm on Wednesday Night as the King’s Lynn ‘Roger Warnes Transport’ Stars open their season with the fifth staging of the annual Ashley Jones Memorial meeting. The Stars will be going up against an Ashley Jones select team packed full of track specialists, as well as Ashley’s younger brother, Mark Jones, who will be competing in the meeting for the very first time ‘this will be a proud moment for me, I have wanted to be part of this meeting for so many years but have never had the opportunity, it will be pretty emotional but as team captain I am determined to put that to one side and lead my team to victory!’. Mark will be joined by Elite League Rider, Olly Allen, who spent the season alongside Ashley at King’s Lynn in 2005. Chris Schramm also returns after being a key part of the 2009 treble winning King’s Lynn team. Another top name joining them is young Australian Ty Proctor, who proved a superb guest replacement for Tomas Topinka on many occasions last season. Young Stars number one, James Brundle, also joins the team along with former Star Simon Lambert, who know rides for the Scunthorpe Scorpions. The last place in the team goes to the very popular Chris ‘Milk it’ Mills, who is relishing a chance of showing his worth as he looks for a team place in the British Premier League this coming season. Stars team manager, Rob Lyon, gives his view on the meeting ‘Every season the club tries to think of a fitting way to celebrate Ashley’s life after he died in a tragic racing accident back in 2005, and this season we seem to have a very exciting line up. On paper I would say that Ashley’s team is stronger but after seeing our riders practise on Wednesday I believe it will be an extremely close meeting that could definitely swing our way!’. Admission Prices Adults £13, Concessions (Disabled, Senior Citizen, Stundent, 16 & 17 Year Old) £10, Junior (12-15 Year Old) £5, Kids 11 Years and Under FREE - Sorry if there's a thread for this already - couldn't see one. Very much looking forward to my first meeting of the season, and looks like it should be a good one, with some old faces present.
