Fingersfin
Can any of our Polish friends advise if the Ekstraliga dates are being reviewed. Are Zielona Gora trying to get them changed? From what I can gather it appears that the harsh winter has had an impact on the development work at the Falubaz track? Just interested as I am going to the Lezsno Grand Prix and would love a choice of fixtures on the 25th of April. I think Wroclaw v Gorzow is the only fixture scheduled at the moment (we are staying in Poznan)
Mama
The rest of Extraleague clubs are against changing the fixtures. Today we had very sunny weather in Poland and almost +10 degrees Celsius (in Bydgoszcz) - so rather no need to change the fixtures.

Dexter
Are Zielona Gora trying to get them changed? Don't they just try it every year? There may be some changes forced by weather. Several clubs were unable to remove snow from their tracks (Rzeszow for example).
Bream
I hope that weather would start to getting warmer. Again today at morning there was snow on the ground and temperature under zero celsius here in Bydgoszcz. What I have understood is that this is actualy the coldest winter in Poland for 30 years? I want my global warming.. I have paid my enviromental taxes so I want it!

tomazpozrl
No snow in Slovenia. Everybody is welcome to see some speedway here.
Bream
I came to do my studies in Poland to start the season earlier. And then I get the worst winter in a life time. Mayby to Croatia or Slovenia on spring 2011..

I want my global warming.. I have paid my enviromental taxes so I want it! 30 years? I don't think so. People tend to exaggerate. For few years there almost wasn't snow so now people panic. But I remember 5-10 years ago there was snow like this year and everything was fine. People just exaggerate. We have 9th of March, season starts in the begining of April. There was a looot of snow, 2-3 days of warming and all snow melted immediately. So don't worry. Snow is getted of from tracks, few days of warm and we will see speedway again. I love winter, and this year it was just NORMAL winter as we remember few years ago, nothing special.
f-s-p
This year it was just NORMAL winter as we remember few years ago, nothing special. Exactly. Yet everything is a mess in Finland and we should be accustomed to this even better than the people in Poland.
TwoMinuteWarning
f-s-p, on a recent TV programme here in the UK, we were told that Helsinki airport had NEVER closed due to bad weather, because they have every piece of snow clearing equipment that there is! At the time they showed it, we had the usual delays and closures of British airports due to a few cm of snow.
ex-pat falubaz
I live literally 200 metres from the track and I can tell you we had another three inches of snow last night. One of my students works for the building contractors who are working on the stadium and he tells me there is no way the first home match will take place. I think it has already been postponed. The new schedule means the first home match will now be against Wroclaw on May 2nd, but I think that is optimistic.
