Just by chance I came across the video of the fatal accident of Swede Savage, one of the late 1960's US revival speedway riders from California.

Thanks, Bavarian, I remember Swede Savage at Costa Mesa but until I read the tribute site, I did not realize that he was such a top class car racer. Although he didn't do too well in motorcycle Speedway, he was one of the very best car racers in the U.S.
