cometsfan2k4
think this is a poor line up to be honest, and a 15 heat formula? i can understand the concerns about the times of the trains and that sort of thing, but seems very poor indeed. I would loved to have seen Piszcz in the line up if they could have got him.

All ex Comets or guests so beggars cant be choosers.......... this is the Wokington 40th Anniversary, there will be many ex riders who will be there on the night too, who may have a trundle round on the back of a bike or may even have a blast down the home straight on a borrowed machine? lordloverocket
Not too pleased with the format and the line tbh! Especially when you see other tracks getting GP riders and yet again expense has been spared but people are expected to pay £14! I personally think the lineup should have been stronger and a better format, and if that meant starting the meeting slightly earlier im sure many fans would have travelled to see this and a few of part time fans would have seen it as an event not to miss! Wouldnt have minded seeing Tomasz TheMadPole Piszcz here like oh and the obvious KING CARL! But The King must have his reasons! )))) Signing off to the pub! LLR! No GP riders have anything what so ever to do with Workington speedway. The reason for the line up is that it is a celebration of the Comets' history and that is reflected in the fact that there are so many former riders returning. Of course, I would also loved to have seen Tomasz and Stoney back, but thats life I guess...must have their reasons. Just hope it will be a good meeting and really looking forward to seeing the battles between Kauko and James Wright...although my money is on Cookie for a top 4 finish
