Now here is a man after my own heart-don't know the answer to your question-but it could have been "Lion"(companion to Tiger)-or perhaps Wizard, Rover, Hotspur. There is a British Comics Home Page-think you can get to it by entering Rover Comic and links will take you there-extracts of old stories etc etc. I was beginning to think I was the only one on this forum who remembered this 50's 60's period-as stuff on the 70's is after my time.Think I will start a new thread on one of the riders of that period to get evryone's brain going again!!!!!!!!!!!

There was one in the Tiger about this time. It was about "Ace" Lester and the Beldon Aces. There has been a recent thread on the same subject so you can probably find it in the archives.

Great times. Great memories.

:)

I used to get the Tiger, Eagle and Beano..... childhood memories!

Ah! The Beano with Biffo the Bear on the front, Lord Snooty and his Pals, Bash Street Kids. The Dandy with Korky the cat and on the back Desperate Dan who used to eat cow pie with two horns sticking out of the crust. Always thought  The Eagle was a bit posh-but liked Dan Dare and his arch enemy "The Mekon"

I collect "Oor Wullie" and 'The Broons" annuals dating back to the early seventies including the hard back specials which there are numerous with strips dating back to the thirties.
