Steve Shovlar
Excellent coverage from Wilstshire radio. Well done to all. Sounds like a good crowd. 2700 reported inside Blunsdon. Well done to Nicki, who by the sound of things was in a different class. What happened to Adams then? Wind down season already started? Not making the final on his own track was a poor show by the sound of it. Perhaps Zagar would have been the better bet after all. Zzz zzz zzz zzz zzz zzz zzz zzz zzz zzz zzz It sounds as though the meeting tonight was a fitting tribute to Bob, and that's all that matters; not some pathetic attempt at critising another of Swindon's favourite sons. Oh, and well done Nicki.

Steve Shovlar
Surprised Emil only got 4 points! Good to see Bjarne have a good meeting Emil had Bjarne off in one race. By the sounds of it on the radio he was all over the place. Bjarne doesn't ride Blunsdon well so I was suprised he made the semi.
SuperSwindon
Emil had Bjarne off in one race. By the sounds of it on the radio he was all over the place. Bjarne doesn't ride Blunsdon well so I was suprised he made the semi. although Emil was poor, he didnt have Bjarne off, he rode him hard into the bend but i personally though he was harshly excluded, Stead did the same to Jonasson in the next heat but the ref did nothing about it. Not he best of meetings, tbut fair play to the promotion for attracting the field, probably the best that will be seen in UK this year outside of Cardiff. Think the track will be as slick as Ronnies head form uch of the season so not great entertainment for paying fans. One note for promotion, with all the changes why is Clive Fisher still presenting, what a stupid question to ask Tai- "Did your dad passing effect you?" You could heara pin drop when he asked it.........and as for the announcer in the box, he announced Tai as Rob and has a voice which sends you to sleep. lucifer sam
Emil had Bjarne off in one race. No he didn't. But obviously you know far better than those of us who attended the meeting. All the best Rob
Grachan
Enjoyed the meeting. Good to see a bit of speedway after a long break. Didn't stay for the semis or the final, but not surprised to see Nicki ended up winning as he looked far and away the best rider on show in the heats. KK looked very good and B. Pedersen also looked back to his old form. I wasn't keeping score, but Steady seemed to be doing pretty well too. Emil the Russian was great value. Seemed to be in the thick of it every time he raced, so I was a bit surprised to see he had scored so few points at the end of the night. Was certainly entertaining. Fitting tribute to a Swindon legend and a good crowd there to enjoy it.
MattK
Bjarne looked very good, as did Kasprazak. Nicky was by far the best rider on show. Adams didn't look as if he had his usual speed and when he missed the start he didn't seem to have any answer. Mads looked awesome in his first ride when he beat Emil, but didn't seem to have anything after that. Stead was, well, steady.
lucifer sam
Good meeting tonight - glad I made the decision to make the journey down the A420. Nicki P was immaculate - 7 rides, 7 starts and 7 wins. Already he is looking like the man to beat this season. Crump came the closest to beating Nicki, when he got level up the inside in their semi-final clash, but couldn't make the move stick. Very impressed by Kasprzak, probably the second best rider on display, but let himself down by an inexplicable choice of gates in the final. Despite scoring only 4 points, Emil The Mad Russian was highly entertaining. He looked very rusty out of the gate, but was then his usual fearless self. He was unlucky to suffer an exclusion in his third outing. A clever switch of lines led to a surprised Bjarne Pedersen bailing out. I thought Emil's exclusion was a touch harsh. The bloke Fisher is a grade A prat & should be sacked for asking such an inappropriate question to a young lad on a mike in front of a large crowd. I would hope the Promotion make him apologise to Tai & SACK him on the spot. Yes & Bob Radford should stick to writing books as he was sending the crowd to sleep with his boring voice. A decent enough meeting & Nicki was a class above the rest & a deserved winner. I just hope the bold, slick track isn't a taste of things to come this season. I would reply to the member of the Fisher prat club Shovlar but i really can't be bothered. Edited March 21, 2010 by Crazy robin

All the best Rob Can only go by the radio commentary, which said he had Bjarne off. Oh, and the ref who excluded Emil.
WembleyLion
Well done Nicki - he looked very sharp tonight. Bjarne did better than I thought he might and Emil was very entertaining for his 4 points.
full-throttle
enjoyed the meeting, some good racing, and Nicki was a worthy winner never looking troubled.
slider
I was very impressed by Kasprzak. He won five out of seven races and the two he didn't win were the final and the first heat, where he came second to Nicki. I don't think too many people thought he would do as well as that (me included)!

Leigh will not wind down as your wind up suggests! But then, as you weren't there and seem to know much better than those who were, I will leave it there and thank God I didn't post what I really wanted to in response to your comments. Always has done when he has ridden for Poole there as well.
slider
Fair enough, I was just surprised he did THAT well. I would have had him down as a nine or 10-pointer. The way he beat Crump and Sayfutdinov in 17 was majestic!
Steve Shovlar
KK loves Swindon. He guested for us in 2008 when Bjarne was injured and scored 14 from 5, beating Adams from the back in heat 13. and seeing him of easily in another. Perhaps KK would make the ideal replacement for Adams in 2011. Better get on the phone to Matt quick!
