iris123
. Now it seems Sam Masters has got something about him. Been saying that on and off for a few years now on here.Surprised it has taken him so long to sign for a team. When i saw him in Denmark a few years back he was very very impressive. At that time better than Ward on the Danish track
Hazzman
So can we have one of your U21 allocated spots please?

SHARP REBEL
Brand new bike !!! You mean Bikes Sam has worked very hard earning money to invest in his equipment for the coming season in the UK with Somerset and a small role elsewhere !! GlasgowBoy2
I think he will be very very good for Somerset next year and could even average 8 in his first season, Look foward to seeing him at Glasgow when yous visit.
BigFatDave
I think he will be very very good for Somerset next year and could even average 8 in his first season, Look foward to seeing him at Glasgow when yous visit. The Somerset Promotion has always bent over backwards to help out young Aussies; obviously they don't read some of the rubbish posted on here about foriegners; they just go out and get the best they can. Wayne Baker
Certainly looks that way. All winter (Oz summer) he has been scoring good points against excellent opposition. I'm just hoping that the Lejonen website is correct and he is in some way connected to Coventry, he looks the real deal. How do the Aussies manage to send one over nearly every year? We've had Batchelor, Holder, Woffinden (he may be British but he come through there system), Grajczonek and then Ward. Now it seems Sam Masters has got something about him. Just how do we do it? tracks many hundreds of kilometers apart, no tracks near major cities, no real sponsorship except mums & dads. Went to a "club" meeting at Undera on Sat night - 440km round trip for me as a spectator - Mark Jones & other local riders going for it, no prizes, no money - one 14 yo boy on a 350 doing demo/practice laps by himself, having come from Tumut 850km return trip, to get some practice in on the 350 before the Aus titles at Tamworth next week - another 2400km return trip for the family. At the same meeting 12 or so youngsters on "Junior" solos, with 125 Honda 4stroke motors skidding around the junior track as young as 9yo, others on "peewees" as young as 4y0 - all at the same meeting at a bush track in "the middle of nowhere" - an absolutely fantastic night, maybe a future champion was there, who knows? But still, with speedway so hard to access as a sport in this big wide land of ours, just how do we keep turning out beaut young riders? mainly because some people just love it & that's that I think! Well said, you certainly have to do the miles in the land of Aus. We are doing the 800km round trip to Mildura again this weekend, the third time in less than four weeks. Cheers Chopper
