Parsloes 1928 nearly
Came across this film on Youtube. Awful crash but luckily she is okay. And more than okay..! Does anyone know if she still rides..? Or if she's related to Chris..? Found this web-site about Rachelle too: http://www.speedwaybikes.com/rw/urachl_k.htm
Ron Butler
Definitely a very good looking lady, Parsloes. Sad though that they had a guy belting out a song whilst Rachelle was speaking. I would like to have heard whether her vocal talent was in line with her physical qualities! Vicar
IMHO Nanna Jorgensen is the best looking female racer

She isn't racing anymore, but still attends the races at Auburn occasionally.

Bavarian
My favorite female rider is Micaela Bazan from Argentina. Have You guys heard that in the Danish Second Division there is one club that wants to track an all female team this coming season, captained by Nana Jorgensen. Apparently they have four girls together to form the team. I wonder if they will be nicknamed the "Amazons"? Interesting! Wouldn't it be nice if once a year an international women's speedway trophy could be raced? The FIM organises such events in other forms of motorcycle racing (Moto Cross), so why not speedway? Sabrina Bøgh won the Danish Under 21 Championship in 2001 with a full maximum. She also rode a few meeting for the Danish Under 21 team. I believe she retired and took up a position in Kenneth Bjerre race crew.
SteveEvans
Women can compete with the men in speedway though ...and not just you and Silver Bee at Scunthorpe training schools either! Rachelle was a tidy rider when she was on the track. She did great in 2nd division (intermediate level) in the USA, though i think the girls find the bumping and banging of 1st division a little too rough. Another awesome female rider was Krystal Cramer who was twice Under 16 National Championship runner up behind Ricky Wells (meaning she beat 14 boys). Krystal sadly never moved up to a 500 but instead races mini sprint cars. A few years back I was working with Jon Cook to bring Krystal and Rachelle over for the Brighton Bonanza to race two British females (Jessica Lamb and one other) in a transatlantic challenge half time show, but Jon moved to Lakeside and stopped doing Brighton so we never pulled it off. Both Rachelle and Krystal are a marketing dream (good looking female racers) and its a shame they are not racing speedway as it would certainly increase the attendence wherever they race. Those who follow Indycar will know how Danica Patrick in 2005 almost brought the sport back from the dead - hot 23 year old babe racing at 230mph raised interest for some odd reason, especially as she could race for real. In fact when I went to Indycar practice at Fontana in 2005 there was a driver autograph session I was lucky enough to attend. All the top drivers were there, each had there own line - Danica had 80% of the fans in her line, and yes, I was in it (still have the photo and the signed hat, thank you!). Rachelle told me a little while back she misses racing and might give it a go again one day - I'll keep you all posted! Anders
Women can compete with the men in speedway though, unlike most other sports. Sabrina Bøgh won the Danish Under 21 Championship in 2001 with a full maximum. She also rode a few meeting for the Danish Under 21 team. I believe she retired and took up a position in Kenneth Bjerre race crew. Yes, I remember her name from one of the test matches between Denmark and Sweden back in 2001, from the meeting in Vetlanda. She rode all four meetings between the two sides that year. The previous year, 2000, Maria Moberg rode for the Danish U21 team, in another Sweden vs Denmark test match, in Gothenburg. In Sweden, I think there are two female riders on 500cc at the moment, both born in 1991. Martina Wassberger scored 15 points in 48 heats for Eldarna in Division 1 last year. Chatrine Friman rode in the 80cc Youth League in 2009 with an average of 6.07, but will make her 1st season on 500cc come spring time, riding for Malmö team Gnistorna in Division 1. Ann-Marie Säberg also rode in the 80cc Youth League last season, but I don't know how old she is, or where she'll ride in 2010.
Vicar
And there are still few women in Denmark. Besides Nanna Jorgensen there is Cebine Randrup, Stefani Jensen and Amalie Hermansen. In Argentina Micaela Bazan, what about Montana Jowett in UK? Few years ago there was riding Stina Borufsen in Norway.

I know of her (pic 1, Pic 2, she rode for Smederna youth 80cc the past season but i dont know if she will continue there or where she's from. oldswindonsupporter
Rachelle told me a little while back she misses racing and might give it a go again one day - I'll keep you all posted! Well Steve, from the Golden Gate Speedway, Vallejo CA - Set 4, 2010 report posted by Gary Roberts to one of the speedway mailing lists, Rachelle is riding again. Came 1st in the Div 2 Main Event: Division 2 Main Event 1. Rachelle Kerr; 2. Fred Cook; 3. Tyler Warren; 4. Brian Leventon; 5. Casey Cornilsen; 6. Dustin Berdollt. A popular win for Rachelle Kerr, who stole the first place on the last bend from Fred Cook (son of John). I was really impressed with Tyler Warren, who won both his heats and took third in the main, riding a 250 cc machine.
billie36
Are only good looking girls allowed to do speedway? Isn't it about riding abillity? What amazed me was how much focus is put on Nanna Jorgensen (no affence to her) when some of her other team member have scored more points in some meetings and they don't even get mentioned. Is this about speedway or good looks?? Lets start talking about the best looking boys in speedway... Who cares how well they are doing!!
