Ozchamps 2010,

Looks like one of the Polish websites also has someone who is attending that meeting. :D

Looks more like they're ripping Sue off.

Another great night with Troy firming as the last Ozchamp of the Decade.

Very unusual for sportowefakty to do that...although they do have permission to use them but only if they credit (even if they just put from a UK site - as long as they don't pretend it is their own work and get paid for it).

There was another one I had problems with this morning, banned one person from that site but another person got them for it anyway....I then thought life is too short to get in a mither about it.

źródło: inf. własna (source: own information) - that's what Sportowe Fakty put as a source of information. So they didn't give you credit after all.

Isn't the last leg supposed to be available for us Poms to watch live online?Or did i dream that?

Someone posted on another thread that Mildura was supposed to be on line: I PM'd them to ask them to put up the link on here but no reply, so maybe that someone else was in Dreamland too!

Thanks, it is annoying and I will be having words with them (they get paid for them!) but sometimes I do feel we can all get a little too 'eek' over it all.

Think the time has come for a polite reminder from my Polish friend in their own language....I get hopelessly lost when they reply to me in Polish!

Hi Sue,

No probs, just send it to me (I am bilingual English and Polish) and I will give you a hand with sorting it out.

Damian Gapinski is the guy to talk to in this case.

And no, it is not too 'eek'. There is press law which clearly states about putting source of information if it is not your own. It works in Poland too, just nobody cares about it.

After reading through this thread I have to admit I'd never fully appreciated the hassle Sue has to go through for us. Massive thanks Sue.

Just checking the amount of interest in Ozchamps on Updates: the number of views has tripled from 4000-odd to 12000-ish over three meetings; plus she has to put up with drunken Aussie texters - If she's not in the next Honours List I'll go heave!! :approve::approve:

Oi BFD! Our old mate Lunchy says you speak for yourself when using the term 'drunken Aussie texters!' But he and I totally agree with you regarding Sue!

Now looking at the time of you're posting - early night??

As to Championship itself, it's sure looking good for Troy B with final round to go at Newcastle - hope me saying that hasn't put the mockers on him - and I have to say he fully deserves to be heading the chart at this stage

This is only a news informing upcoming live results! In the LIVE report it is written in the middle: "source of report speedwayupdates.co.uk." - http://live.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel4.htm, so Dexter next time please double check it before you make accusses like this

Ahh...thought it was unusual as they are normally very good.

It's the other site I am not impressed with (the one where I had to ban one of their members on updates)

Yes, but why on earth are they doing 'updates' when they are just 'copying' it from SpeedwayUpdates? Sounds a bit odd to me to be honest.

Nothing odd about it really, people prefer different things and at least they would get the relevant info in Polish rather than English.

And guys - you make me feel so embarrassed! It's only a few early mornings and no real rushing about for the Aussie champs....and I love covering this series.

I also get a thrill getting phone calls from Australia :D

1. To attract more visitors to their website

2. To save money on getting text messages sent from Mildura (if they have anyone in there)

Looks pretty lame to me as well...

uhhhhemmmm Its a long walk from the Royal as%e to Gillman !

I must admit South Oz has its good points (grovel, grovel) - I'm sitting in the Coopers Bar at the Airport, sucking on an ice-cold pilsener watching the Test on the Big Screen (Punter just got out, we're 2-149) and reading the BSF at the same time. Drinks break - now that's a brilliant idea! :approve:

Saw the TravelPlus mob off this morning while I was in town scoring a new mobile to replace the one the Dog ate - F@#$%^ng Greyhound! One of the Pommie Barstewards was wearing an England Ashes Winners T-shirt - a special corner in hell has been reserved for him, I'm emailing Graeme Boyd in Newcastle to make sure they seat him behind a tree - in tha flamin' Car Park!!. ;)

Might slip out to Parramatta tonight - there's a quiet Gentleman's Establishment I frequent when I'm in town - then tomorrow the SCG. Sounds like a plan I reckon!!

Thought I'd better get my notes down re Mildura before Alzheimers kicks in again.

Meeting was a little late getting going due to the Sun refusing to set - memo to BJ, can we do something about this? Once we got under way however the usual thrills & a few spills ensued, making for another exciting Ozchamps round by the banks of the Mighty Murray.

Josh Grajczonek - was a little down on the form he usually shows here, but one good dice with Chris Holder made up for that.

Tyron Proctor - knows his way around here, couple of good wins v quality opposition.

Rory Schlein - better overall night, only fourth in the final after he throttled back to avoid taking out an over-zealous Darcy Ward.

Jason Doyle - a bit off-song after a strong performance at Gillman, he'll go well at Newcastle.

Mark Lemon - all class as usual, fortunate to have a week's rest to let all the bruises heal.

Darcy Ward - falling in his second heat meant he had to win the repechage to make the final, and he took no prisoners.

Chris Holder - equal top-scorer with Rory, he doesn't disappoint.

Justin Sedgmen - continuing to improve, a good win in the re-run after falling in heat 8.

Troy Batchelor - shock 4th in the best race of the night (Ht 11 won by Rory) he came back strongly to take a stranglehold on the Crown.

Cory Gathercole - never stops trying and will improve.

Cameron Woodward - I keep hoping for great things from Cam, I know he can do it.

James Holder - another who had a bit of an off night, looking for improvement at Newcastle.

Robert Ksiezak - a shocker, just wasn't at the races.

Josh Auty - continues to excite and represents his country well. You've got a good 'un here.

Sam Masters - a mixed bag with a couple of good wins including a great victory in heat 7 over Chris H., Rory and Cam.

Aex Davies - started brilliantly then faded. Another who'll shine at Newcastle for sure.

Apart from that it was a little cooler than we've come to expect at Mildura but the warmth of the party atmosphere more than made up for that. The Pommie Tourists managed to find the bar and really got into the spirit of things; they were treated like visiting royalty by the club and responded in kind. The usual suspects made sure it was a night to remember, even if it did over-run time-wise due to some over-zealous watering before the repechage & finals, the track usually soaks up water like a sponge but the coolness of the evening probably didn't help, other than that the track was great and the club did a grand job ensuring everything else ran smoothly.

Looking forward to a great Finale at Newcastle. :approve:
