Paulco
Just for interest and for those who do care (the others can stop reading here ). Kevin Wolbert blew his Armadale engine in the pits before the meeting started and had to use the GM he reserves for the big tracks. That bike had one of the new silencers fitted to it which affected its performance. His crash in heat 4 resulted from the GM picking up too much grip on the fourth bend catapulting him towards the fence. The crash in his last race left him with sore ribs and sore..err..other parts plus a wrecked bike. Kall Katajisto was unfortunate in that due to a combination of circumstances his Armadale Java didn't arrive at the track until too late for it to be fitted to the chassis he had for it. This meant that he too had to us his 'big track' GM which is totally unsuitable for the smaller tracks. If Max Dilger had not had bad luck he wouldn't have had any luck at all. His two crashes (neither were his fault) has left him with badly bruised ribs at least plus a damaged bike. Are these silencers going to prove more trouble than they're worth ? Seems a lot of riders , in the first week of the season , are scoring below what you would expect . If these things are causing all sorts of mechanical problems , maybe we should bin them now and re-introduce them when they have been tried and tested and are proved ready for use . Surely we don't want meetings spoiled by mechanical problems caused by these things .
sunrise
I think Edinburgh team did show mostly promise last night, kids said to me that Tabaka that he would beat Grieves in his 1st and he did. For me a good 1st meeting Max looked a totally different rider than he did last year and agree none of his crashed were his fault. Hopefully he is ok Kevin as has been said blew his engine before the meeting but still felt he gave his all. The amount of crashes he has he must be aching today. Stormy, Andrew and Fish all look in good form. Kalle as Merlin said not the right engine for the track and I am sure that he will be very good. I also think there is more to come from this team and we will start with the tiggers Well done to Wright he chose the right gate and that was that. SCOTLAND1314
Why should we care ? Was merely giving other teams fans, who may have been at Armadale last night, the opportunity to give their opinion on Edinburgh riders, something that doesn't usually need encouraged but hey I live and learn. And incidentally to the person that moved this thread, it was purposely started under the Premier League folder as I'd hoped this thread could be left running for the season in order to gather comment and chart progress of Edinburgh riders throughout the season. Perhaps I should have started a thread that is a thinly veiled racist attack on anyone not born on these shores and then it would have been left running as a single thread. And it would have reached page 76 by now , which would have given the impression that speedway at the Dale was interesting

He talks the talk but will his team walk the walk for him.... over the past two seasons what is the running score (wins/losses)?
Bellers101
Lets just hope that Katajisto, Wolbert, Dilger & Tabaka keep up that form as that would be just what that average manipulating team / promotion deserves Kettle, Pot, Black but was found out! Mr Davies ah hem!
msc1874
Lets just hope that Katajisto, Wolbert, Dilger & Tabaka keep up that form as that would be just what that average manipulating team / promotion deserves Its pretty obvious you were nowhere near the meeting on Friday...........Wolbert blew an engine and had two bad falls. Dilger slag him all you want but he looked good and will do well at reserve. Slag Kalle but I seem to remember Kalle beating all that went before him last year, real talent, in what way has his average been manipulated? Care to explain.................Tabaka? Looked steady for his debut, tell me what did Edinburgh do wrong in signing him? Honestly I find it laughable your comments, I honestly do.....You show that you have no real clue. Back to the thread thought James Wright was superb in his last 3 rides. Grievesy was a tad unlucky came good late in the meeting I thought. Really good well balanced field, I was dead impressed. Good entertainment.
