The Scottish Open-19th March 2010

Recommended Posts

So, with the countdown to the Scottish Open underway, does anyone know of line-up? I think they were trying to keep as many from the original 2009 staging as possible, but obviously some won't be available (Possibly THJ for one)...

Outwith the 2010 Monarchs, only one I can find confirmed is Rene Bach...

In this week's Speedway Star it is said that Travis McGowan , James Grieves , Rene Bach , Paul Clews and James Wright will be competing .

The following was on the official website and I am posting it here so that a wider audience who may have last season's ticket will be able to redeem their money.

Anyone still retaining a readmission ticket for last year's Scottish Open may not use it at our first meeting but will be given a refund if it is sent to the Stadium by Friday 12th March.

where is the full field up anywhere yet?

I don't think the full field is complete yet . It might be on the Chatzone , but i don't frequent there very often , so i don't know . The only riders i know are the ones i've read about in the Speedway Star and i've previously posted them .

No disrespect to the line up but Somerset for me.

£5 cheaper and they have Crump, Andersen and Sayfutdinov.

Bit of a bugger if you live in Edinburgh though... Maybe £5 cheaper, but £100 in fuel costs kinda outweighs that!!!!!

There isn't really any reason to compare them though is there? In terms of rider quality there is no PL meeting this season, not even the PLRC, which will be anywhere near the standard of the Somerset meeting.

Goodness knows how it has been financed, perhaps they are hoping for a 10,000 crowd. I hope they get it.
