speedyguy
Why are these still on here when 'Strictly Come Dancing' and the thread about Max Wall/Arthur Askey have been moved to General Discussions? Parsloes 1928 nearly
Westerns clearly SHOULD be moved. What's My Line is a completely different matter as that thread IS about Speedway - pontficating about which Speedway rider was one a guest on there. Just like in the past there's been threads about pop records involving Speedway, Speedway appearing in TV dramas etc.. Joke factory is just someone complaining about posts in the wrong place - so I guess one can't really say THAT'S in the wrong place... salty
Firstly - who cares. Secondly - the "What's my Line" thread started with a question related to Speedway. Not sure about the other two threads you mention, but the "Strictly Come Dancing" nonsense you posted had no place in the Speedway History section. BOBBATH
I am really getting fed up with people posting jokes here-like for example. Man at suppertime sitting watching TV, hears wife calling out from kitchen"Darling what would you like for supper tonight , lamb, chicken or beef?". He responds "Thank you dear I'd like a nice piece of lamb because I am going out to speedway later" Wife calls out from kitchen "F**k you, you're getting soup. I was talking to the cat!!" I'm sorry - I really DID have to laugh at that one.
Parsloes 1928 nearly
Just like in the past there's been threads about pop records involving Speedway, Speedway appearing in TV dramas etc.. I wonder if it's a good time to mention that once again the Stoke Potters sticker on the back window of Roy Cropper's car made an appearance in last night's highly dramatic episode of Corrie...?! Or does such a road only lead us to madness!!?

Or does such a road only lead us to madness!!? Okay, they seem to have toned down his character based on occasional viewings of the soap but he still appears to be an odd-ball, a loser only just on the edge of society, likely to have odd habits and interests. I'll leave the rest of you to fill-in the punchline.... Rob McCaffery.

Hmm, yes but considering that the character is a wildlife fanatic obsessed with endangered species etc. (seems he could be the endangered one ATM!!) his apparent support for the shale sport should be welcomed... One CAN be green and still be a Speedway fan!! He is also obsessed with railways and that's an accurate touch as - as we know - there are plenty (in Kent alone) Speedway fans who love their trains too!!! BOBBATH
To RMC: you mention "oddball, loser on edge of society, likely to have odd hobbies and interests"-I would appreciate it if you could leave me out of your postings in future!! Seriously we're about six months behind you in Corrie so will keep an eye out for Stoke sticker on Roy's car.

I have been known to dabble in vehicles with far more than two wheels myself. I was at a vintage vehicle rally the day after Cardiff and found myself talking to a chap at the back of a bus who turned out to be a well-known former promoter who insisted I don't tell anyone - about being at the rally rather than talking to me - at least I think so .. Mind you, he'd seen a prominent ref in a transport bookshop in Cardiff. No names to protect the far from innocent... Rob McCaffery
