After reading the Thread on What's my Line it got my memory banks working. Takes a lot these days believe me.

It made me wonder if anyone out there remembers the good old days on the Telly with 'Rawhide', 'Wagon Train' and the 'Cisco Kid' etc...................... :):)

I mourn their passing.

OR - am I just SAD?

Just a little warning, which you must count to 10 about BUT

I came on thinking this was something to do with Speedway Years Gone By!

Be ready for it to be moved for GENERAL SECTION (non speedway).

Im sure it wont be personal but it may reach a wider audience.

Now - breathe 2,3,4. :wink::lol:

My favourite was always Range Rider.

I also liked Kit Carson because he kept tunneling everywhere and they used to show little maps with dotted lines where he was tunneling. I can't remember why he was always tunneling though...

I always thought Roy Rogers was a bit of a softie. I mean to say he was always singing and being soppy with Dale Evans.

I'm glad to hear that, Ian.

However, I advise you to undertake a in-depth demographic and geographic study of the construction of this website. This I urge you to do for the extension and preservation of life - yours.

When Sandie's ire is raised 'igher it triggers her blue touch paper reaction and that can be a perilous experience for those who have ired her. I really enjoy your contributions to the forum and I would be very distressed if you were to to become late!

Take care, my friend, take great care!

Regards,

Ron.

Oh give me Roy Rogers and the Sons of the Pioneers any day. Can't beat a bit of yodelling :approve: And Champion the Wonder Horse was also a favourite of mine

I remember when I was a wee laddie getting up early on Saturday mornings with my auld Grandpa and watching B&W repeats of the likes of Champion the Wonder Horse and the Lone Ranger :D Zorro was another favourite, but he wasnt a cowboy  Another thing about the TV westerns, from any era, is that most of them had really catchy theme tunes :approve:

Original doesn't mean the best Jim. :wink:Anyway i prefer Patsy Montana or The Girls of the Golden West :approve:

Who wouldn’t. :P:D

Here is one for you lot: An actor that appeared in Western films and that was actually in real life one of America's most highly decorated soldiers. No, not that type cast actor - Marion Morrison, that never saw any kind of real action apart from learning a script.

A real life hero, not the comic book type....
