1st Darcy Ward

2nd Sam Masters

3rd Joe Haines

4th Taylor Poole

Ward was clinical and won his 5 heats then won the 10 lap final, ahead of Masters who looked pretty good, Haines and Poole.

Darcy Wards legend grows as everything he does he turns it into gold. He looked in more control of the bike than most people driving a car down a freeway. Note: No trick track here  though the track got dug up by sidecars and was constantly changing and being watered and graded 3 times. So must have been difficult to adapt to. Darcy showed why he is going to be the next world champion, every move he did on the bike showed 'racer' and though he was riding with his mates he is the consumate pro and his racing instincts are automatic. Even the lightling fast look back to check the rider behind him, is so quick, and precise you know he means business.

Did the Woffinden family proud for sure,

what did you expect??

Rebel thats a bit harsh  you can call him what you like but if he's a rebel at least hes a rebel with a cause.

Think you got the wrong end of the stick there, Dirt........Rebelknight is talking about Sam Masters, not Darcy. Sam has signed to ride in the UK, for the Somerset Rebels, for the 2010 season.

You really do over-hype Ward! If you wanna give someone the big I am, and speak about future world Champions, then you speak about only one rider.

Emil doesnt need 'bigging' up Chrissy, we could all see he is a potential world champion, just by how he has done in his 1st Grand Prix season. Darcy is of the same mould, a 'potential' world champion, same with Chris Holder too but until any of them actually win it then they'll just be that. Same was said about Gollob, Adams, Sullivan etc years ago and look at them. So close but not good enough. Whoever wins the title over the next decade, were in for a superb series with the talent around atm.

is there any results from the nsw title meeting

Got this from a aussie site and will post more if it comes through.

as at 8.30 pm Chris Holder has not been beaten. Sam Masters has had a win over Darcy Ward. Taylor Poole has had a win a 3rd and in another where he was leading his deflector came adrift and hit his back guard.

If I get any more results I'll post

Got this courtesy of ausm site see below.

Final results from The NSW Title 1st Ward 2nd Masters 3rd C. Holder 4th Skidmore.

Thanks to Gavin.

06/12/09 Update

Just realised that poor Hugh Skidmore had to come through qualifying. 4th

is a brilliant achievement in that case. I know that Taylor Poole scored 7

points. He too had to qualify.

>

>

> .......The qualifying heats (with the accent on heat!) just produced the

obvious - with maybe one or two exceptions. I wasn't there to endure it all, but

I'm told there was some good racing with close finishes. The riders had 3

qualifying races each. Qlders Tyson Nelson and Harley Horwood qualified, as did

Joe Haines. Ricky Wallace and Mason Campton were two who missed out. As it

happened, it was a disaster for Horwood, who fell unaided in turn 1 and went

into the fence with his bike following him in. He suffered a compound fracture

of the femur, and was attended to on the track for over half and hour.

> He was transferred to Armidale Hospital and operated on this morning.

> Sam Masters and Chris Holder both beat Darcy Ward in their heats, but Ward made

no mistake in the final, with Masters nipping past Holder as he tried to set up

a move on Ward. Jamie Stauffer was a surprise. Heat 1, he was leading Richard

Sweetman, Kurt Shilds and Harley Horwood when his bike stopped. He beat Joe

Haines and James Holder in later heats - also had a fall. Michael Penfold had a

disasterous night, and was in a bit of pain at the end of the night. He finished

second to Chris Holder first time out, then his bike wouldn't fire for his

second race, then he came last, then he fell heavily, then did not finish his

last race.

> Scores: Chris Holder 15, Darcy Ward 13, Sam Masters 11, Jason Doyle 10, Hugh

Skidmore 9, Alex Davies 8, Kurt Shields 7, Taylor Poole 7, Joe Haines 6, Tyson

Nelson 6, Richard Sweetman 6, James Holder 6, Jamie Stauffer 5, Todd Kurtz 5,

Michael Penfold 2, Harley Horwood 2,

> Mason Campton (res) 1.

> B Final: 1. Skidmore, 2. Doyle, 3. Davies, 4. Shields.

> A Final: 1. Ward, 2. Masters, 3. C.Holder, 4. Skidmore.

> Gavin.

wHY?? wHY DO YOU LOVE SAYFUTDINOV SO MUCH!!! WAS IT THE BOXING MATCH WITH THE GB RIDER? HOW COULD YOU BE SO UN-PATRIOTIC TO YOUR OWN COUNTRY, EITHER SUPPORT A GB RIDER OR AT LEAST ONE THAT RIDES IN YOUR COUNTRY AND HELPS KEEP SPEEDWAY IN GB ALIVE.

Dont worry Dirt. Chrissy automatically dismisses anyone that is talented and cant ride Armadale to their full ability. Even though Darcy scored 11 there on his second visit ;)

Am now in at friend's place here in NSW for next week before heading off to Johnny Hoskins Memorial meeting a Newcastle this coming Friday and then up up by plane the following morning to Brisbane for Saturday's Queensland Champs at North Brisbane circuit..

First meeting I saw was on 28/11/09 at Gillmore and rain caused the solo event to be canned very early on and things concentrated on the sidecar and quad events from then onwards.

In the very brief solo events Rob Ksiezak won both his outings before the rain came, Robert Branford registered two seconds, Ben Turner one third and one last and Ben Turner the same return.

Adam Briggs won both the 'Solo Encourage' races, Damon Whelan a second and a third, Ben Hatcliffe fell whilst leading the first race and finish second behind Briggs in hs second, and Frank Graham finished third in the first race and last in the second.

The sidecar event continued and the result of the final was:

1. Mick Headland / Paul Waters 60.88

2. Adrew O'Rourke / Jason Mayes

3. Mark Plaisted / Sam Harrison

with the fourth crew, Trent Headland being excluded (they don't disqualify out here thank goodness!) for losing passenger Jesse Headland in the final.

Seven days later, on Dec 4th it was much better weather and Brit Josh Auty began what was to prove a highly productive weekend for him by romping to success in the Jack Young Cup winning all his heats and then heading home Justin Sedgmen, Robert Ksiezak and Jake Anderson in the final. Anderson took advantage of Damien Koppe suffering an engine failure as the tapes rose to head home Robert Branford and Arlo Bugeja in the semi to join the other three top scorers from the heats in the final.

Mick Headland and Paul Waters took the sidecar honours heading home Darren Treloar and Justin Plaisted with the Mark Mitchell / Tom Golding partnership third.

--------------------

24 hours later it was off to Renmark where Auty made it two wins out of two by winning the Riverland solo championship winning the feature (final?) from Robert Ksiezak, Damien Koppe and Jake Anderson.

-----------------------------------------

And then on Saturday at Mildura, their opening meeting of the season and much work had taken place at the venue since last year - that was plainly evident.

There was no 'feature' or final for the solos and some riders had five rides, others four as sidecars were the feature eevent. However in the solos no one was going to stop Josh Auty who won all five of his outings with next best being Justin Sedjmen with 13 pts from five rides whilst both Damien Koppe and Jake Anderson amassing eight points apiece, again from five rides.

Special mention must go for the sheer effort Samsurry "Sooty" Pilgrim for the wholehearted effort he put in at all three meetings over the weekend for little real reward but, I guarantee you, a lot of bruises and the same goes for Robert Branford.

Rick Howse / Adam Commons won the sidecar final from Mick Headland/Paul Waters with the Jason Bradshaw/Simon Cohrs partnership third.

I wonder what that could be put down to, after all it is the most classically shaped track in the modern world :unsure: and Darcy is sure to need to master it for his future hopes

Not forgetting Darcy was the main reason her beloved monnarks had to hand over all their silverware to the stars. She probably will never get over it.
