racers and royals
As Ghostwalker has started the excellent Swedish 2010 thread,i thought it would be good to have similar for Poland.Could our Polish forum members keep us upto date with information on the teams and riders, and infact any news on Polish speedway. My Sundays wouldn`t be the same without my weekly fix of polish speedway and i`m sure many others feel the same !
Ghostwalker
FRom wehat i have read Ostrow is likely to be denied an "elite license" starting permit from the Polish Federation for next season. I dont know how likely it is or how serious these intentions are but in an article it said that they were thinking of starting a new team and then apply for the Swedish Elitserien. Vicar
I dont know how likely it is or how serious these intentions are but in an article it said that they were thinking of starting a new team and then apply for the Swedish Elitserien. I think not so much. It is sth like "oh, bad PZM was so unfair to us, everytime they're saying that everything is our fault, so we will start in Elitserien in next season". Some fans gave example of possible names of Ostrow team in Elitserien : INTARERNA (Intar was their main sponsor) Stangreterna (Pawel Stangret is their manager, I think Elitserien was his idea) Bankruterna Stefańskilstuna (Bankrut means bankrupt, Janusz Stefański is their chairman) Rozpizgarna Ostrovik (rozpizgaj is very slang way to say mess) I like them However the future of Ostrow club is not so clear, they have big debt. Possibly there will be new club created. Can any of our Polish friends tell us when the Polish league fixtures are released for 2010 season,as i'm hoping to make a trip over their next year for a meeting or two? Not so soon. First the chairmen must decide about the regulations for next season, what usually takes them a lot of time. There were first meeting of chairmen from 1st and 2nd divion. Don't expect transfers so soon. There is regulations, that until end of November clubs cannot negotiate with riders from another clubs, they can be just prolonged contracts with old riders. Then suddenly in the begining of December there are many new signings There is a thread with squads, it is regularly updated (last time in 19.10.2009). Everytime go to last page. Bradford Ace
I've got news that Kraków will start in 2nd league next year Patrick Noergaard signed in Krosno Patrick Hougaard in Tarnów Nice one. Loads of flights to Krakow from every airport so could be worth a visit. Rumours that Emil might be on the move, possibly to the new Champs?? Mateusz
Rumours that Emil might be on the move, possibly to the new Champs?? These are only rumours from women's magazines, ZG can dream on Emil but they won't have him Emil's main sponsor is now in a special task force that is responsible for building up the Bydgoszcz line-up for 2010. Emil wants 50% more this year (around 1,5 mln for the whole season) and he will get this money. The team budget is supposed to be around 7 mln zl so hopefully we'll have a decent team at last ! Hope so mate!! Said for last 2 seasons that i was gonna get over 4 a league meeting but havent done yet. Done all 3 GP's there from 08 & 09 but need to see some league racing on a decent track rather than the GP borefest!! Went to the Grudziadz meeting the day after the GP when the Torun meeting got called off & Henka Gustafsson was saying u were after his son Simon?? Cant see that as he would be an U21 so wouldnt get in the side of front of Emil?? Any rumoured targets over there mate?? Surely gotta get rid of Chrzanowski for a start & dont think i'd keep Buczkowski personally but depends who's available. Dobrucki flew there in the play offs & would be a good buy if available?? Emil will only be a junior for 2010 season so possibly they are just preparing themselves for the future? Not sure if Emil has a Polish license could he not ride as a Pole ala Holta. Mateusz
There are 2 options: 1) getting two decent Polish riders or... 2) getting one decent Polish rider + one really good u21 rider (e.g. the young Gustafsson etc.) In this 2nd case Emil would be racing as a senior rider. Otherwise still as a junior rider. The names... Dobrucki, Walasek, Gapinski, Kolodziej... that's the wish list, we'll see what they manage to get. My dream yet realistic line-up would be: AJ, Lindback, Dobrucki, Kolodziej, Buczkowski, Emil, Wozniak Edited November 4, 2009 by Mateusz

Suppose it makes sense to keep Emil as junior so he can take all the junior rides apart from heat 1. I'll have to keep an eye on here & on the Sportowefakty website to see who moves where & hopefully you get your dream line up or as close to it as possible!! superguest
I think it's about time TG returned to Bydgoszcz. Shame about the GP riders rule. 1. Jonsson 2. Lindback 3. Harris??? 4. Buczkowski 5. Emil 6. Gustaffson 7. Wozniak Edited November 4, 2009 by superguest

Buczkowski 5. Emil 6. Gustaffson 7. Wozniak Harris? No thanks, he wasn't going well in 1st division... As Mateusz said - there is few options. Probably Gapiński is close to Bydgoszcz, maybe someone else. I'd like to have Simon Gustafsson, but I don't think it will. They negatiotate with danish junior (Jepsen Jensen?). Now it is a lot of questions, but in 2 weeks we will know more 1. Jonsson 2. Lindback 3. Emil 4. Gapinski 5. Kasprzak/Dobrucki 6. Wozniak 7. Gustafsson or 1. Jonsson 2. Davidsson/Buczkowski 3. Kasprzak/Dobrucki 4. Gapinski 5. Lindback 6. Wozniak 7. Emil No one knows. Edited November 5, 2009 by Vicar
Bradford Ace
Yeah, i dont think Bomber would be a good addition for Bydgoszcz. I'm sure Mateusz & the Polish boys will know more than me but dont think its one of his fave tracks?? He has certainly done nothing in the recent GP's there & cant remember him impressing for Ostrow there in the league meeting last yr either?? Kasprzak would be a great signing, been very impressed with him at BV this yr & hope he stays with us in the Elite League for next season. Think Emil should stay as a junior for as long as possible so he can get the extra rides as may as well use it to your advantage while you have the 3rd best rider in the world at reserve!!! Vicar - you mention knowing more in 2 weeks so do they have a conference like the Elite League do when they introduce new rule changes etc??
