DutchGrasstrack
Anyone got some information about the FIM Congress which was held from the 22th to the 26th of October? Calendars? Any interesting new things for 2010? All I know sofar is that the FIM wil introduce the 250cc World Championships for both grasstrack and speedway next year . As usual it's very hard to find this information because the FIM keeps these kind of things very quiet and that's why I'm asking it here lol . Because it sounds like it's an overall final, and the date seems to confirm that, but last year there were only the five rounds?

Whatcha mean "last year"?Do you mean by that this season? .....It does what it say's on the tin.....It is the Longtrack equivalent of the Grand Challenge thingmybob which was at Coventry this year or was it last year? As the Longtrack season was over weeks ago, it now becomes last year's event. But thanks for the explanation; it all makes sense now. Seeing as the field has already been announced I don't know why I thought there were qualifying rounds. Doh.

f-s-p
Does anyone got the rider allocations? . I actually asked for them and got a reply that said they were going to the federations first. isracing.net is already quoting that they were given 6 places in ice racing (2+2+2) and a place in the team final too. Not long then...

f-s-p
It's Finland, I think. Finland is not really on the wishlist to appear on TV in the SWC so I would expect us to get put up against Czezc and Germany in Abensberg. There's a real shift of generation in the Finnish team for next season, our squad should look something like this: Katajisto, Nieminen, Kylmäkorpi, Timo Lahti, Hautamäki and Aarnio. And I guess Slovenia was on the wishlist this year? If Finland rides in Lonigo, I think they have a good chance of qualifying for the SWC. They only have Slovenia to beat ... Slovenia will also probably send much younger team to SWC qualifications next year. Santej has retired and Stojs is also doubtful for the national team. Kraljic, Voldrih, Duh and Kukovica are the strongest candidates to join Zagar, Gregoric and Conda in the team.
