can i ask about who Sönke Petersen is?

Seriously injured at the beginning of the season, a promising German under 21 rider. I saw him ride as a 12/13? year old at Kings lynn a few years ago in the GB v Germany under 16 international and was very impressed.

Soenke Petersen is a Popular Driver here in Germany.

At the Age of 6 years he wins his first Title,German Speedway Champion junior-class C

He is a Member of the German U21 Team and Drives for MSC Brokstedt in the German Speedway League.

So there was a lot of Charity “Stand up! We support you!” in the last Weeks for the Soenke,all startet up with a Fundraiser for him.

 

 

Fundraiser for Soenke Petersen by German National Team!

 

For the benefit of the heavily injured Soenke Petersen the German National Team

started a fundraiser with the slogan: “Stand up! We support you!” With this

campaign the team wants to support his teammate as well as his family.

Teammanager Ren Schaefer therefor opened a fundraising account. “Soenkes fate

is a tragedy where all of us are asked to help him with the means that are

available to us.” Schaefer also emphasized that 100% of the funds will be

forwarded to Soenke: “Every single cent that will be transferred to the fundraising

account will be given to Soenke.”

 

The opening of the fundraising account is only the start for further activities to

support Soenke. “Tobias Kroner contacted me and offered me his help. Further

some clubs signalized to participate in benefit activities to help him”, Schaefer

said.
