IT won't be long before we will know the names of the 15 permanent Grand Prix riders for the 2010 campaign.

But, if you had to CHOOSE the 15 best riders in the world to take part, who would they be?

PHILIP RISING

Hans Andersen

Jason Crump

Andreas Jonsson

Jaroslaw Hampel

Greg Hancock

Chris Holder

Rune Holta

Tomasz Gollob

Freddie Lindgren

Adrian Miedzinski

Nicki Pedersen

Piotr Protasewicz

It's not easy to pick 15 for NEXT year, as there are some riders that I would certainly put in the top 15 just now, but I am not sure if they would still be there next season. Leigh Adams is a fine example of a man who has been on a dramatic slide this year. I'd say he was still inside the top 15, but if he continues his downward progression next year then he certainly will not be. Similarly other riders are moving upwards fast, and may well work their way into the top 15 next year.

Just using form from this season, I would go for:

Leigh Adams

Hans Andersen

Kennth Bjerre

Jason Crump

Tomasz Gollob

Jarek Hampel

Greg Hancock

Chris Holder

Rune Holta

Andreas Jonsson

Freddie Lindgren

Adrian Miedzinski

Nicki Pedersen

Piotr Protasiewicz

Emil Sajfutdinov

JC

Tomasz Gollob

Greg Hancock

Andreas Jonsson

Emil

Freddie Lindgren

Chris Holder

Jarek Hampel

Matej Zagar

NickiP

Leigh Adams (top 15 in the world is different to the best 15 for the GP's)

Chris Harris (my GP's get to have some dirt on the track)

Hans Andersen

Rune Holta

Antonio Lindback

Not much different from what we will have for 2010 I suspect....... no Magnus.....Ken Bjerre bites the bullet until he can stop creeping at the starts ......and shows he can make a pass........................ Brits only get one rider.............. Lindback and Zagar slide in...... Holta, Andersen, Adams and Harris take their seats in the last chance saloon

and lol at Pepe Henry

You are having a laugh. Walasek is a better rider than Harris (above Harris in the GPs and made more finals than Harris - who hasn't made a single one - and better than Harris in the Swedish and Polish leagues; he also managed to qualify for the GPs when the Grand Final was staged on his home track), Lindback, Zagar and Iversen.

Ahhh...cummon, Mark put him in his 15, and salty had him listed as a possible.

The boy has had a blinding season this year, and I honestly believe he has been one of the best 15 in the World in 2009. He was very unlucky at Coventry. Without his one big mistake he would be in and Zorro would be out....but that's what I love about PePe! When he goes out, he goes out in style :D

Nah, I think he has a bit of a problem with pressure. Always seems to crumble when it comes to the crunch.

He had his 1 day in the GPs when he was wildcard in Bydgoszcz a few years back and made the final...Still managed to screw that up, though, and missed out on the rostrum :D

My 15 would be:

Gollob,

Sayfutdinov,

Hancock,

Jonsson,

Pedersen,

Holta,

Bjerre,

Lindgren,

Andersen,

Hampel,

Zetterstrom,

Holder,

Lindback,

Zagar.

If Holta does not take up his option of a GP place (as is being reported), Maciej Janowski to replace him.

Right now after watching that rubbish tonight provided on a motorway, would it matter who the top 15 were, they aren't being allowed to show off their skills. Never thought after 40 yrs of watching speedway I would be saying couldn't give a toss if I never see another GP. SKY subscribtion is in danger of being binned for next yr, Depending upon track prep (Overall) possibly No Cardiff, a saving of over 1k alone just on those two. What has all the makings of a great sporting event is being spoilt by track prep. I feel sorry for you and your staff at Speeway Star who continually try to lift the sport only to be frustrated by the lack of racing tracks provided by the GP organisers. These events are supposed to show off our great sport, not make it look mickey mouse. Why in the context of your magazine do you not ask Olsen why he thinks it was for the betterment of the sport that he provioded slick tracks??

Lets hope with Tony Olson coming in we will get nice grippy tracks with various lines and watch these guys at their best.

Then we can see Hans finally take his place at the top of the pile :D

You mean the pile-up in the first corner featuring Andersen, Gollob and Sayfutdinov as Crumpy outgates the lot and picks up another win? :D
