tarabanko
Getingarna didn't have a single own rider. The riders was from Dackarna and Eldarna. http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y...sl=sv&tl=en Rumours are also saying that Solkatterna from Karlstad is a maybe starter in allsvenskan, the loss was approx: 500.000 SEK last season. One rider has gone to the bailiff to get his 40.000:- SEK. Edited March 31, 2010 by tarabanko
Ghostwalker
Niklas Klingberg have decided to end his career and he will not ride this seasons. That means that Örnarna will have to find a replacement for him within the nearest week and a half. This is because the only transfer windows this season will open on Monday and close on the following Sunday. http://www.racemcsport.com/nyhet_spec.aspx...;Sport=speedway Edited April 6, 2010 by Ghostwalker

f-s-p
It says on a Swedish website that the Karlstad track, home of Solkatterna is getting 3m SEK for a face lift so I doubt Solkatterna would fold at this point.

Anders
There are still no news from Svemo regarding which silencer that will be allowed. Just published this morning on SVEMO website: The track racing committee has decided that the introduction of the new FIM homologated silencers (which were introduced on 2010-01-01) stands. An exception has been made for Vetlanda Lagcup on 16th-17th of April.
Ghostwalker
Just published this morning on SVEMO website: The track racing committee has decided that the introduction of the new FIM homologated silencers (which were introduced on 2010-01-01) stands. An exception has been made for Vetlanda Lagcup on 16th-17th of April. i find it very amusing that Svemo once again have taken a decision that doesnt connect to reality. according to Bo Wirebrand, sporting director of Elit Vetlanda, many of their riders probably wont be interested in riding in Sweden if the new silencers are enforced. http://www.hogland.nu/index.php?option=com...27&Itemid=2 Swedish rider Eric Andersson have already decided not to ride in Sweden this season becasue the new silencers will cost him too much money. http://ericsracing.nu/diary_41.html Several other young riders are planning to follow his decision if the new decision stands. Andreas Jonsson if very upset too with Svemos decision. He writes on his blog : "to the h**l with the new silencers, i cant see what the benefits are. if any does write a comment. For me the new silencers means a less enjoyable experience for the spectators and.more and higher expenses for the riders especially for the juniors and those who have a tight budget. Then there is the thing that Svemo doesn't listen to the riders who have tried the new silencers and considers them dangerous in some situations. I my opinion Svemo ignores the riders safety. WembleyLion
Allsvenskans fixtures have been updated. Allsvenskan now consists of 20 rounds then a playoff with the 4 best teams. Thanks GW - I am visiting Sweden from 1 - 4 June staying in Norrköping and had planned to take in fixtures at Kumla, Linköping and Nyköping. Looks like I'll have to do Hammarby on 3 June instead of Nyköping - even though it's further to travel it appears to be a relatively straight forward trip up the motorway. Ghostwalker
Billy Forsberg has decided to take a break from speedway this year. according the website of Västervik speedway, Billy. The reason to that decisions is lack of motivation and lack of funds, the latter part is partially due to that he problems getting his pay from his rides in Poland. http://www.wmsk.se/speedway/Lokala_Nyheter.aspx?id=1694 Västervik have signed two new riders though this week, Robin Messing which is a loan from Rospiggarna and Joonas Kylmäkorpi. http://www.wmsk.se/speedway/Lokala_nyheter.aspx?id=1693

Anders
Ales Dryml has been added to the Elit Vetlanda squad, with Thomas H Jonasson switching to partner team Nässjö (Division 1). For THJ's participation in Elit Vetlanda, it doesn't mean anything in reality, as he's still available for last year's bronze medalists.
