Anders
surprise signing! Indeed! I certainly didn't see that coming.
superguest
Indeed! I certainly didn't see that coming. Seems there will be 3 teams with all the good riders in Sweden, and everyone else just picking up the rest. Surely not sustainable?
Ghostwalker
Seems there will be 3 teams with all the good riders in Sweden, and everyone else just picking up the rest. Surely not sustainable? i think it depends on what happens with Västervik. If they cant find the funds needed for next season their riders will be available for the other teams. Ghostwalker
Indianerna have released two more names from their squad; Leon Madsen who Indianerna at first wasn't interested in keeping but i guess they changed their mind when Holta left. The other rider is Renat Gafurov. Both of them rode for Indianerna the past season. http://www.kumlanytt.se/nyheter.php?subact...amp;ucat=1&
Ghostwalker
there are some rumours that Nils Kristian Iversen and Bjarne Pedersen have signed with Indianerna. There is also claims that Västervik will have a meeting tomorrow/tonight (Tuesday) with their sponsors to try and solve their financial crisis. Only 7 weeks remain for all teams to sign riders. Ghostwalker
"Gotland Islanders" aka Bysarna still have hopes of completing a new 80cc track for next season. despite a new delay. Even though the that the neighbours of the new proposed site all have granted Bysarna to build there, the city planning office have demanded that all neighbours have to fill out a form which Bysarna have to attach to their application. Until they have done so the planning office cannot approve Bysarnas' construction application. Västervik had a crisis meeting yesterday evening but are not any closer to a solution. The sponsors don't want to contribute with any more money until Västervik signs a couple good riders. Västervik on the other hand cant sign any riders until the debts have been paid. Västervik now hopes that Västervik municipality will stand surety for a loan. Indianerna's team manager confirms that he have talked with Bjarne Pedersen and Nils Kristian Iversen but that those two want to wait and see what happens to Västervik. Ghostwalker
During the upcoming weekend, the Elitserien Series Association will have a meeting to discuss some suggested changes for next season. The suggestions are these: a new 16 heat, heat schedule . Suggested by Dackarna. a new 16 heat, heat schedule where all 8 riders will have scheduled heats, which means that the nr 8 gets two scheduled heats. heat 15 will be removed and replaced by a new reserve heat in heat 7. riders 6 & 7 have to ride in at least 3 heats each. rider 8 have to ride his two heats. tactical substitute will be allowed from heat 5 7 & 11 will not be legitimate heats for tactical substitute. . . . Dackarna motivates this suggestion with that it will be a coast saver for the teams since they dont have to pay for the first nomination heat (ht 15). They also says that the nr8 now will get to ride instead of standing in the pits during all meetings. . IMO. This do not solve the money problem. If the better rides will have one heat less what will stop them from demanding a higher pay per point to compensate for the fewer heats. Then the u21 riders will be more valuable for the teams meaning that they can have higher pay demands simply because the demand will increase while the supply will decrease. And are there 24-27 U21 riders (depending on how many teams there will be in Elitserien next season) that are of a high enough standard? . : Revert to "Old style" back to back meetings. Suggested by Dackarna. Dackarna suggests that the older system with the return meeting the week after the first meeting should be used again instead of the system used the past two seasons where the teams met once in the first half and once in the second half. Dackarna motivates it with that the home meetings will come in a better flow. and that B2B meetings means that it is easier to swap race dates between the two involved teams. . . Scrap the aggregated bonus point and replace it with 3 points for an away win. Suggested by Dackarna. . Dackarna want to replace the aggregated bonus point with a 3p reward for away victories. Dackarna motivates it with that the away team will turn up with an as strong team as possible and that the away team will be more motivated. IMO the bonus points for best total score is fine as it is. . . A guest rider system for Division 1. Suggested by Dackarna. Dackarna suggests that Division 1 teams should be able to loan riders from other teams if injuries means that a team have problems to muster 7 riders to a meeting. Currently if a team show up with a team with too few riders that team will be penalized with fines by SVEMO. It also means that the entertainment value will be less. . . unlimited number of tires for Elitserien. Suggested by Dackarna.Dackarna suggests that the current limit of two tires/rider/meeting Should be scrapped. They suggest that the amount of tires used should be unlimited because the cost cutting reason no longer is valid since the cost for the tires are quite low compared to other costs. Also they say that the riders usually pays for their own tires. Another advantage would be that all "cheating" and accusations of cheating would be no more. . . Rider averages. Suggested by Masarna.Masarna suggests that the averages. for the Swedish riders that are available for farming, should be based on the performance from each league independently of each other. Meaning that: The Elitserien average will be based on the rider's performance in Elitserien only. The allsvenskan average will be based on the rider's performance in Allsvenskan only. Ditto for Div1. Currently a rider can ride very well in Elitserien but if he is registered with an allsvenskan team and either don't ride there at all or rides poorly. The rider's average will stay low in Elitserien despite good scoring. IMO this is a very good suggestion and i hope that it will be approved. . . . more info later. http://www.svenskafans.com/motor/speedway/...l.asp?id=325200 Edited November 12, 2009 by Ghostwalker

Ghostwalker
Västervik has received an unknown amount of money from one of their honorary members. This means that Västervik might be able to pay their debts and to start the work of building a team for next season. Although they are not safe yet. I also hope that, if they make it, they will learn their lesson and adjust the team so that they have team that they can afford so that they dont end up in this situation again. http://vt.se/sport/artikel.aspx?articleid=5146662
Ghostwalker
Vargarna have successfully managed to sell the name rights for their arena. Vargarna's hometrack Kråkvilan will now be named Ica Maxi Arena the nearest three season. Västervik's "saviour" the honorary member, confirms that he have loaned Västervik enough money for them to be able to pay their rider debts. They are also close in signing a new team manager. But they still don't have any riders signed.
Ghostwalker
Rafal Dobrucki apparently did not sign with Valsarna after all. Suddenly he has now signed with Piraterna and the history repeat it self. Rafal then had an agreement with Vargarna to ride with them the past season but then like now he signed with Piraterna.
