Bagpuss
This should be good. Who do people reckon will represent each team? GB possibles: King Kennett Wright Frampton Boxall Wilson Tully Bridger Woffinden Barker Haines Auty Smart Lambert Hart Lawson Aus: Holder Gathercole Batchelor Proctor Skidmore Sedgmen Ward Grajczonek Davey Summers Wethers Sweetman Herne Woodward One or two of the names above might be too old, but if both teams are as strong as can be it could be an excellent meeting. Badge
The line ups have been announced for this mouth watering Test Match and are taken from Ipswichspeedway.com: Ipswich Speedway are proud to announce the team selections for the Great Britain v Australia U25 Test Match being staged at Foxhall Stadium on the 15th October, start time 7.30pm. Respective National team bosses Rob Lyon and Craig Boyce have selected their strongest sides available and both are clear on exactly what is at stake when these sides hit the track in three weeks time. Former international and Australian boss Craig Boyce said “It was devastating to miss out on World Cup Gold like we did, so this young team are looking to serve a little reminder to the poms and the rest of the speedway world, exactly what they have to contend with over the next few years. They have the perfect roll model in current championship leader Jason Crump.” New Great Britain boss Rob Lyon who came so close to taking his team of youngsters all the way to the World Cup Final this year was measured in his response saying “I can understand where Craig’s coming from and this is just the sort of meeting we both need to bring the best out of our sides. Even though it's still early days for me in the job, make no mistake about it, I have a very capable side who are extremely proud to wear the Union Jack and it is going to be one heck of a battle out there.” Great Britain 1. Edward Kennett 2. Ben Barker 3. Lewis Bridger 4. Danny King 5. Tai Woffinden 6. James Wright 7. Joe Haines Australia 1. Chris Holder 2. Darcy Ward 3. Rory Schlein 4. Cameron Woodward 5. Troy Batchelor 6. Ty Proctor 7. Cory Gathercole 28, Sep, 2009 Edited September 28, 2009 by Badge

PhilK
If that 14 actually line up on the 15th, it will be some meeting to see Edited September 28, 2009 by 21st century heathen Unnecessary quote.
21st century heathen
sorry just realised this probably needs posting elsewhere.. sorry can you move it for me mods...thanks I thought that when I saw the title. But such is 21st century speedway that we don't actually have a place for test matches. It's certainly worth highlighting, and it does look a cracker (more instead of pointless fillers please!!), and needs to be seen by the whole forum rather than hiding away in the EL section. Leave it with me.

Pirates Of Poole
Why didn't Poole try to put a meeting on like this?
Jenn
It's a shame Ipswich is about 94millions miles away as this looks an awesome match!! Wonder if SKY would be interested in showing this? With all their favourites riding it could be a good call!!

BigFatDave
Only just heard about this one - should be a Ripper!! I think Team Oz'll be too strong at reserve but I'd love to be there waving the flag - I'll just pop out and buy a lottery ticket.
MrMungo
Might even be tempted to visit my local track for this one, assuming there's not too many changes to line-up.
Trees
Nobody can resist this one can they!!! Should be a bumper crowd!! Let's hope the track is good though cos you don't see too many good passing meetings at Ipswich ............... pity they haven't altered the track yet .............
