samthepalaceman2
I guess at the end of the day you learn from your mistakes, at least if you make them early on your get to where you want quicker. Applies not only to speedway but life as well.
srbramble
If he's good enough, he's old enough. Darcy Ward has proved all season he is a highly competitive rider, and if the call for Tai to be granted a GP wildcard for 2010 gathers any pace, then Ward is easily entitled to one as well. I personally, would put both in next year, and put the frighteners up all the regular riders. I think it would be so much more exciting and very interesting. By the way, big congratulations to Darcy for his win. What on earth do you say about this lad that hasn't already been said? Megastar in the making for sure. Another season in the PL? What the hell for? Rediculous suggestion. Edited October 3, 2009 by srbramble
stevebrum
Whatever the price ..... he will fit in well at Wolves next year with Tai and Nicolai  YES please!!!!!  I see that cry baby woffman mucked up again no doubt still crying about it now happy days  What an insightful mind you have   Oh happy days that the arrogant know all blows his chance with a tapes exclusion & then comes third in the run off.  Thats fine, he will help wolves make Swindon pay for it   Are you for real? Do you realise what is happening in young Woffinden's life at the moment?  You are just scum.    Congratulations to Darcy Ward. And hard luck to Tai Woffinden.  All the best Rob  Im suprised you could be so polite!   On the plus side, well done Darcy. Another big talent that will put his elite team in the play offs.  Lets start the scramble!!!!!  Tai has another chance, but if anyone NEEDED it more this year it would have been Tai and the Woffindens.  Your future is bright young man, wolves will look after you.  Also well done to Nic - decent enough showing Edited October 3, 2009 by stevebrum

T.N.T.
I see that cry baby woffman mucked up again no doubt still crying about it now happy days hard luck Tai, although looks as if beaten fair and square in the run off. Tai was admittedly unlucky with the tapes exclusion, but the fact remains he finished 4th. Following your logic surely Pavlic or Hougaard should be picked before him.... Yes Tai made the mistake in his first ride as Hougaard on gate one moved, Tai went a touch further and into the tapes. Â As for the run-off .... its hard to beat one rider let alone two with a puncture !!! Â
Parsloes 1928 nearly
I told you today Darcy would win what a talent .. Â Hmm, so you KNEW Tai was gonna break the tapes...?!

cyclone
Well done to the phenomenon that is Darcy Ward. Â Who cares a toss about his personality - it's what he does on track that counts, and it's an amazing feat to win it on an unfamiliar track at his first attempt. HenryW
Very surprised Ward won but I have seen him beat Schlein and Batchelor so I knew he could do it if he was on the ball so wd to him. I think Darcy has a few far more impressive scalps this season than that pair...Nicki Pedersen, Greg Hancock and Emil Saifutdinov being a few of them. Â He is clearly an exceptional talent and has a very bright future in the sport if he can keep on progressing at his current rate. Â As far as which league he races in over here next year, I don't think it makes much difference. Either way it'll just be a bit of extra track time. Returning to the Extraliga and getting a contract for the Elitserien will be far more important to his development unless there are some drastic changes to the leagues over the winter. Shortcrust
Massive congratulations to Darcy, it's been a pleasure to watch him week in week out at King's Lynn this season, hopefully next season he won't be too far away either to pay a few visits and enjoy his talent in the EL Edited October 4, 2009 by shooting star

Applies not only to speedway but life as well. Except Tai didnt! As has already been mentioned he jumped the tapes last year!  Tape touching is not bad luck! Its rider error!  As much as I would have liked Tai to get a result from this meeting he was not unlucky! It was his own error and he only has himself to blame!  Harsh? Probably. True? For sure!  Saying that I hope he gets a GP spot as hes an awesome little rider and will be the pride of team GB over the coming years!  Now for Mr Ward..... What is there to say? The natural successor to Crumpy as top Aus. The kid is amazing!  Hopefully our local press will pick the story up and we can get a few more through the gate on Monday!  Well done to Paddy toooo! 3rd is a decent result - wish id know I could get 16's on him before hand as id have a few £'s each way! Parsloes 1928 nearly
So you knew Tai would have won that race had he not broke the tapes???? Â Hmm, well no - but perhaps the clue is in the fact that he DID win all of his four other races... On the balance of probabilities I'd say if he hadn't had that tapes offence, it would've been Tai who was celebrating today...
211
Oh happy days that the arrogant know all blows his chance with a tapes exclusion & then comes third in the run off. The next time he's doing analysis on the Grand Prix's & criticising riders for the lines they ride maybe someone will tell him not to move before the tapes go up.  An arrogant little Chris Holder wannabee.  Congtatulations to Darcy Ward & the stampede for his signature for 2010 starts now. Why do you feel the need to slag tai off, you obviously have no respect for speedway rider's....arrogant my arse, maybe if you actually knew anything about him you would choose your words more carefully
