Parsloes 1928 nearly
Don't think it is any more Ah, right.. Well thinking about it Sayfutdinov won the U-21s twice and this is his first year in the GPs so I suppose it can't be.. Well, that's shocking IMHO.. And regardless clearly for the good of a fast fading concept, both Darcy and Tai MUST be included in 2010..

Following your logic surely Pavlic or Hougaard should be picked before him.... Er, no. One assumes (well this thread does...) that at least one Brit is going to be awarded a so-called 'Wild Card' (I actually thought that expression related to the one-off riders allocated as 16th. man to each indiv. GP, but there you go.. ) and Tai, particularly after today, IMHO has to be that man. It was only the tapes exclusion which prevented him from being at least second today, BTW.. Oh and where and when has LOGIC ever been applied to the way the SGP series is made up..?!
Trees
That makes up for coming second in the PLRC! What a performance from him that must have been, said I'd buy the DVD if he won so it's a visit to www.cleancutsports.com for me eh ballinger HUGE congratulations to Darcy!! What a brilliant first year in senior racing he's had and it hasn't finished yet ........................... Just had a look at the heat results, Tai would have won it on a max had he not messed up in his first, he must be so gutted, he's still got another chance though. Fourentee
Must reiterate my congratulations to Darcy Ward; a stunning performance for a 17-year-old. I allowed myself to be sidetracked by Skeletor's moronic post, which was most remiss of me, and have not acclaimed Ward's showing in the way it deserved. When he rode at Monmore earlier this year I was most impressed. I do hope the Wards and Woffindens of this world "train on" in racing parlance and become big players in future Grands Prix. Woffinden has probably done his 2010 wildcard aspirations no harm in the way he bounced back from the tapes offence, mind. Trees, as to your point on a Woffinden max -- not necessarily. Don't forget that Ward knew second place would be enough in his final race. Had it all been on the line at 12 points apiece, who knows? Edit: Just remembered that Ward was actually on 11 after four, but you get my drift. Edited October 3, 2009 by Fourentee
NWS
I think it is safe to say, if it weren't for a first heat exclusion then Tai would have won this meeting. Shame, he deserves it more than anyone else in that line-up!
SUPERACE
Firstly well done Darcy Ward a super super talent, also well done Paddy also gonna be a big start in world speedway (Just hope hes still at Belle Vue). Secondly The NUMPTEYS who are having ago at Tia, yes he mucked up tonight and should have won the meeting but he will learn from this and will go on to be a world star without doubt, with the thinks he dealing with at the moment he obviously has very good mental strengh. Why is it in this country when we have a talent SOME want to see him fail, well for all those that do hang your heads in shame.

Shame, he deserves it more than anyone else in that line-up! My post above backs tai up BUT to say he deserves it more than the other 15 riders is wrong. Who ever wins deserves it simple as. Darcy, Tai and the rest of the young lads bode well for speedways future IMO.

Crazy robin
Oh happy days that the arrogant know all blows his chance with a tapes exclusion & then comes third in the run off. The next time he's doing analysis on the Grand Prix's & criticising riders for the lines they ride maybe someone will tell him not to move before the tapes go up. An arrogant little Chris Holder wannabee. Congtatulations to Darcy Ward & the stampede for his signature for 2010 starts now.

Starboy118
Poor Tai, looks like he was very unlucky... Fantastic result and confirms what all KL supporters have known all season - DW is a once in a lifetime talent who is destined for the very top and beyond. Massive congratulations and fully deserved. Starboy118
and that he needs another season in the PL? LOL At 17 years of age there's not a great need to rush. I am sure that decisions will be made in his long term interest. Future World Champion if ever there was one.
bazaar3
I see that cry baby woffman mucked up again no doubt still crying about it now happy days And you once told me to grow up........pot, kettle and black spring to mind. Very unlucky for Tai as I really feel the sport in this country would have had a slight upturn had a Brit won a WU21 title. Any publicity is good publicity but papers won't print it because he failed to win. Very surprised Ward won but I have seen him beat Schlein and Batchelor so I knew he could do it if he was on the ball so wd to him.
