Steve Shovlar
Way to go mango!!!!!!!!! What a great night to be a Poole fan. Holder in the GPs and joined by Pirates legend mango!! Cracking open the Champers I was saving for a special occassion. Nothing much more special than this!!!!
rabbit
Holder great...Magnus will be totally outclassed in the series and doesn't enhance it at all imho. Hampel is not a surprising qualifier either. Think Lindgren should be OK to stay in of his own volition. Others may have to wait on the wildcards... Daniel Smith
I hate the guy with a passion but well done Zorro, atleast this guy will put up a fight for every point up for grabs. Not like some of the shower of rubbishe that's in the GP's this year
Rob B
All over now, Zorro ,Holder,Hampel!!Finally! Holder and Hampel were predictable but can't believe Zetterstrom will be GP rider! He will be totally outclassed!
CaptainMarvel
Holder should hopefully add to the GPs but the other two god help us
Badge
Whilst I agree that Zorro qualified by right, how will he enhance the GP's , at least Scott and Bomber are heat leaders
tigerblues
Holder through, get in!! Brilliant! Wouldn't have minded a Brit actually qualifying for once, but oh well. Doesn't shock me that Hampel's in. Not sure about Zorro, don't think he'll do much but at least he's in on merit. Grachan
Thank Christ that was sorted out before midnight! At least we have 3 proper qualifiers instead of one of the current GP riders getting in and having to wait and see what happens in the remaining GPs. Holder and Hampel - two worthy additions. Zetterstrom? Blimey! Can't see him doing much! But he's there on merit so fair enough. Glad Miedzinski didn't make it. Should increase the chances of seeing him at Swindon next year! Rico must be on for a wild card now then with Harris presuably out.

He won't win a round or make a final but will do no worse than Ulamek, Walasek etc. He battles and can gate. Well pleased for him.

Cracking open the Champers I was saving for a special occassion. Nothing much more special than this!!!! If he qualified on the night then he deserves it, despite the rubbishe he gets on here (magnus that is), as for Holder, top bloke and really deserves it, as Steve says, special!! Daniel Smith
at least Scott and Bomber are heat leaders Only in the super weak British Elite League. They are no better riders than Zorro as a whole. Edited September 18, 2009 by screamer

While your assumption about Magnus may be correct ,there have been plenty OTHERS like him over the last few years.he has done the rounds and QUALIFIED on merit .Plenty have failed. Harris Lingdren&Bjerre are all GP riders where were they tonight dont say they were not trying.

I'm looking at this objectively and not as a Poole fan. If he rode for another club would you be saying the same thing? It's true he has qualified on merit and fair play, but I think he'll be struggling to score more than a few points in the entire series. Bagpuss
Whilst I agree that Zorro qualified by right, how will he enhance the GP's , at least Scott and Bomber are heat leaders I think he will be cannon fodder but he deserves his chance. Bomber and Scotty have had umpteen opportunities and have losued them all up....Richardson for a Wild Card if the organisers want a Brit in the series. I'm just thinking about he series as a spectacle is all - plenty of better riders than Mango have tried and failed in the series. For a journeyman like him, I just can't see how he's going to live with the main body of the 16. We shall see - as ever I'm happy to be proved wrong. Grachan
I see Harris finished on 10 in the end and just behind the qualifiers. So if he does get a wild card I guess there can't be any complaints. He may have just saved himself with that last heat win. noggin
Will be interesting to see who the permanent wild cards are, now that holder qualified by right.

GB don't have a rider capable of competing apart from Rico.
