Do Playoffs work exactly the same way like in Poland?

Lejonen winning twice will be 1st and will meet best loser (probably Vastervik if they managed to win at home by any amount)?

Then the other semi will be Vetlanda vs. Vargarna.

Poor Dackarna, +8 after 8 heats, +2 after heat 14 and finally lost by 2 and now need a win away to stay in the game.

it works like this:

Best winner meets best looser in Semi final 1 in both cases its the total score that counts regardless of wins or losses.

the two other teams will meet in the other semi final.

Great score from Tai and Sqora. Please please, bring these bikes to Lakeside and Swindon

The manager of Vargarna said

Om självförtroende skulle ha ett namn skulle det vara Tai Woffinden. Han kan verkligen bli något - med betoning på verkligen.

If self-esteem would have a name, it would be Tai Woffinden. He can really be anything - with an emphasis on really.

Indianerna - Elit Vetlanda (tv meeting)

Indianerna:

  1. Magnus Zetterström (1,3,1',0,0,1) 6+1
  2. Piotr Protasiewicz R/R
  3. Grzegorz Walasek (3,2',3,3,2,1) 14+1
  4. Jesper B Monberg (3,1,0,2,0,3) 9
  5. Rune Holta © (1,2',3,0,1,2) 9+1
  6. Leon Madsen (2,2,2,0,1,3) 10
  7. Simon Gustafsson Niklas Eriksson (0) 0
  8. David Rohén (0) 0

Elit Vetlanda:

[*]Lee Richardson (2,2,3,2,3,0) 12

[*]Peter Ljung (0,0,1') 1+1

[*]Jaroslaw Hampel (1,0,2',1,2',2) 8+2

[*]Patrick Hougaard (FX,1) 1

[*]Jason Crump © (3,1',3,3,3,3) 16+1

[*]Robin Aspegren (1,0,1') 2+1

[*]Thomas H Jonasson (3,0,2,2,1,0) 8

[*]Anders Mellgren -

Well, I might as well...

For Indianerna,

Zetterström started with some decent performences before fading, just like the evening turned into a dark night. R/R for Protasiewicz gave 8 points. Walasek was unbelievable, as I have never seen him! I think NASA might want to investigate if they are missing some rocket fuel. :DMonberg was up and down, like the score sheet says, but a final outcome of 9 points is good enough from him. Holta had one good heat but didn't trouble the away heat leaders many times on the night. Madsen is kind of a gater, but he's fast when hitting the front, so one better not let him do that. Eriksson and Rohlén took only one heat each in the absence of Simon Gustafsson, so I won't judge either one of them on that.

For Elit Vetlanda,

Richardson was rock solid before getting squeezed out in the final heat. Ljung is good at home but can't find anything on the road, and that's a problem to a near 6.00 average. Hampel had one bad heat too many this time, but was crucial to the comeback made by the team. Hougaard crashed hard in his first, had a poor second and got replaced later on. Not a day to remember. Crump was awesome, such a difference to the latest GP and the final regular season meeting. Fast, tough and showing passing ability. Aspegren did what could be expected, even pushed Madsen hard the first time they meet. Jonasson blew hot and cold, but fought really hard for his points and earned them all.

Man of the match: Grzegorz Walasek/Jason Crump (well, it's simply not fair to choose just one of them!)

Most exciting rider: Thomas H Jonasson

Canal plus website says that the televised match for the 2nd leg is Lejonen v Dackarna.it should be a good match but is it the best choice given the results from the first legs ?

well i cant see why not? I think it can be a quite tight meeting just as the other two meetings.

What meeting do you want to see? Västervik Vargarna? Elit Vetlanda Indianerna?

Vastervik v Vargarna i suppose, they have quite a defecit to pull back but if Gollob is back i just feel this could turn out to be the most exciting.

I think that Lejonen vs. Vargarna have the possibility to be as equally good as Västervik-Vargarna,

Regarding Västervik, Laguta will be back as well which means Gapinski will be riding as a reserve.

The first of the two finalist have been decided. Valsarna advanced to the final with a total score of 103-89.

With the advancement Valsarna have also qualified for next years Elitserien.

The other semi final ended with a score of 53-43 in favour for Örnarna. Tonights meeting was the first meeting in that semi final and the seocnd meeting will be held tomorrow.

Scorecards for last two alsvenskan meetings are not working...

tnx for telling.

All should work now.

I also added scores from yesterday's return meeting between Solkatterna and Örnarna.

Allthough SVEMO have said earlier that both finalist will be offered a promotion to Elitserien.

But now SVEMO seems to have changed their mindsa a bit isnce they have now said that they might

only offer a promotion to one team if any of the current Elitserien teams would pull out.

Valsarna and Solkatterna both said before the playoffs that they were intrested.

However the question is if they can afford it? Valsarna made a statement to the press a few days ago

that they want to drastically lower the average cap from 42.00 to 36.00

because they are a new team andwould have a hard time signing enough good riders .

IMO this sounds like they have realized that Elitserien might cost them more then they expected and

that they might have started to get cold feets about Elitserien.

I dont know about Solkatterna they have been quite successful but their three best riders all belongs too Piraterna

and without those they would only be a mid team in Allsvenskan.
