Valsarnas win was a bit larger then i expected, i thought that Masarna could offer a little bit better oppositions at their home track.

With this result Valsarna should be able to secure a place in the semis in next weeks return meeting at their Home track unless someone gets

injured or anything like that.

comment: Örnarna didn't have any problems defeating visitors Solkatterna. Daniel Nermark rode his first meeting in Sweden after his injury but

he only rode two heats and scored 3 points. Mikael Max and Antonio Lindbäck was in a class of their own with 14p from 5 rides and 16 p from 6 rides respectively.

The first leg of the Semifinal which now is the 2nd leg was supposed to have been held last week but it rained off and will be held tomorrow.

The previous meeting this season between this two teams at Solkatternas hometrack ended with a big win for Solkatterna (57-39) however

Örnarna did not have Mikael Max then and Daniel Nermark was not injured (i know he rode tonight but his scores suggests that he was not entirely fit).

I am unsure of what the lineups will look like as there are no official lineups available. But i think it will be a close meeting tomorrow and that Linus SUndström who is

riding in England tonight might be available. Some rumours are that either of Jeleniewski or Janoskwiski might be replaced by David Ruud but i am unsure if he will fit

under the average cap.

Valsarna to the final.

comment: 1250 spectators saw Valsarna qualify for the final and ElLitserien with a 14 point victory tonight.

So a welcome back to Elitserien to Valsarna!!

Valsarna were forced to do some changed compared with the original lineup since Robin Aspegren crashed yesterday in a Division 1 meeting.

However Robin Törnqvist who was moved up to nr2 and Anders Mellgren was stepped in at nr 6 both did a good job in this meeting and Valsarnas

victory was never jeopardized.

comment: Solkatterna without Nermark (injured) and Linus Sundström wan not able to

win over Örnarna who took the lead with a 5-1 in the 4th heat. Solkatterna managed to get back

in heat 11 and was only 2p behind but Örnarna was too strong with Mikael Max and David Ruud.

This means Örnarna and Valsarna will meeting the final which is held on Thursday and Friday in next week.

comment:

Indianerna started the meeting very well and was at the most 10p ahead (after 9 heats)

but Vetlanda managed to turn things around and was 2 points up with 2 heats to go.

At this point i think many thought that Vetlanda would win it but thanks to a 4-2 in heat 15 and 3-3 in heat 16

Indianerna managed to reach a tied score at the end of the meeting. IMO it was very good performance from Indianerna

when you have in mind that neither Protasiewicz or Simon G could ride.

I am pretty sure that Vetlanda will win the return meeting at home next week. The question is if they will keep the scores down

to become best loosers. Personally i dont think they will since they have to ride without Pepe.

comment: A but surprising lejone won away against Dackarna thanks to a good team effort

although Mikael Max only scored 2+1. For Dackarna especially Andreas Jonsson's 5+1 is way to little

for Dackarna to be able to win. Ludvig's and Zengota's scores also was too weak.

Its very uncertain if Dackarna can go through to the semi finals.

Lejonen is a strong home team and Dackarna have to ride much better

if they are going to have ay chance of becoming best loosers.

comment:

As expected Vargarn won their home meeting in the quarterfinal.

Although i think that the victory margin was larger then expected.

Vargarna started very well and pulled away initially. Västervik managed to

close the gap but after the interval something happened with Västervik and Vargarna

manged to pull away easily to a 18point victory.

Even if vargarna is a very strong home team Västervik should not loose with 18p.

They did miss Gollob and Laguta but riders liek Harris and Iversen should do better then 7 points each.

Västervik will have a tough task next week if they want to be in the semi finals.

Both Gollob and Gregory Laguta is expected to be back in Västerviks team for

next weeks home meeting.

Vargarna to semifinal.

Västervik misses the the best looser place in the the semis with 2 points.

comment: Västervik had the chance for Semifinal but blew it.

gapinski wasnt start ready when replacing Bjarne and is excluded for 2min violation.

In Heat 16 Västervik had 5-1 and then 4-2 but because (i assume) of poor team riding

they loose the heat and their semi final place with two points.

What are the systems of Alsvenskan and Elitserien play-offs?

teams placed 1-3 picks between the teams placed 4-6. The the teams with the highest total score+ best loser advances to Semifinal.

In the semi finals the team that won with the biggest victory margin will meet the best loser. if Two teams have the same margin the team

with the highest placing in Elitserien's final standing will meet the best loser.

Then obviously the two semi final winners will meetin the final :o

In case of a tied score in the return meeting the team managers will nominate three pairs to ride in at most the three "sudden death heats".

If the first heat ends 3-3 there will be a second heat. If that heat also ends 3-3 a third heat will take place.

If the third heat also ends 3-3 there

will be a 4th sudden death heat to which each team manager nominates one rider+ a rider to be used as a reserve for the nominated rider.

This means the 4th SD heat will have one rider from each team.

Do you have Play-offs pairs?

I believe Vetlanda and Vastervik picked opponents at the end of TV coverage but I missed it somehow.

the thread is uppdated with more info about the pairs.

also added links to lineups for Thursdays Semi finals in the Allsvenskan Playoffs.

some playoffs news,

Piotr Protasiewicz had a fall yesterday and this resulted in a concussion and a crack in a finger.

He is not likely to ride in the first quarterfinal next week.

tv channel Canal+ intends to go to Vetlanda next week despite that Vetlanda will be in Kumla riding against Indianerna.

there is currently some weather problems. A weather system with rain is moving over the country.

this is a radar image from 17.00 (20 minutes ago):

so in a best case scenario it might just cause some delays and in a worst case scenario it might cause a postponement of the meetings.

Hammarby Valsarna is currently going on (the question is for how long since the rain is closing in). Solkatterna-Örnarna postponed to Friday next week because of rain.

ANYONE know weather Daniel Nermark would have rode for Solkatterna if the meeting was on tonight?
