I don't know about that decision, but the one he made in Heat 1 and when he excluded Gollob later in the meeting made him look a complete joke. Both decisions effectively stopped Tomasz making the semi-finals by 1pt and, as he had sorted out the track and his bike by then, he would have been a contender for the Final.

I think the covers did a fantastic job given the amount of rain up until about 90 minutes before the start. I even had to blow away some dust when filling in my programme after a few heats. At a cost of £20,000 and given the expense of postponing meetings it is difficult to understand why covers are not more widely used.

 

As for the meeting, well done to AJ. I also thought Rune Holta was a worthy runner up on the night.
