Paulco
I didn't mean to give the impression I wouldn't be there on the 28th. I meant I don't share the 'bring it on' view. Part of the trouble with these Edinburgh v Glasgow clashes is that there are too many of them. Spring Trophy, Premier trophy, Premier League, Scottish Cuip - there was even a Scottish triangle threatened as well. Then you get the Ashfield Classic and Scottish Open with a fair mixture of Edinburgh and Glasgow riders. Thank goodness we didn't meet in the KO Cup. It's the same old riders over and over again as far as I'm concerned. No wonder I enjoy the one off meetings against the Southern sides most of whose riders we see only once a year. Well as you should know , when i say " bring it on " i mean the whole shooting match . The racing , the beer , the conversation . Yes we probably do meet too often , but there have been some good uns .

ChrissySW
I'm not sure I agree, Merlin. I relish the derby meetings, the big crowds, the passionate support, and often the good racing that is provided. I quite enjoy going to Ashfield - when Edinburgh win anyway - and I look forward to the Tigers coming to Armadale too. Both teams have riders who perform well on their opponent's track, which makes for good racing.

Nutz
Should take a look at the stuff on the chatzone then, unfortunately the mods there aren't working. Some of the stuff posted has left a very bitter taste and the thing is, most of the so called "banter" is from people( including mods) that weren't even at Ashfield Agreed that nowhere on the Edinburgh chatzone is anything in the league of the bile posted on Sleazy Tiger. And trust me, the mods on the Chatzone work. I didn't mean to give the impression I wouldn't be there on the 28th. I meant I don't share the 'bring it on' view. Agreed also Merlin... There are far too many clashes for the teams in Scotland, but unfortunately, the amount of them probably balances the books in a season. However, aside from the odd KO Cup final here and there, the two fixtures that always stand out are the league clashes of these two teams... And the rivalry between them in my opinion is heightened during these meetings. They are the clashes above all the rest that as supporters I believe means more to win than any other between the two sides. All being well, I'll be making my first league journey to sunny Armadale on the 28th... Could be my only other visit of the season after the Scottish Open was washed out, so please can we have nice weather!
Midnight_Lady
It certainly seems to be that nowadays the bile served out to Fisher at Ashfield has usurped anything suffered by either Grieves or Parker at Armadale . That is sad as Fisher is a racer worth the admission money . Maybe it's time for people to think a wee bit what they are doing , yes we enjoy the rivalry between our two clubs , but we have to be careful it doesn't cross the line into something more toxic. That's what scares me having witnessed the physical attack on Peter Carr a while back at Ashfield and hoping we never see anything like that again. Well as you should know , when i say " bring it on " i mean the whole shooting match . The racing , the beer , the conversation..... . The cuddles? All being well, I'll be making my first league journey to sunny Armadale on the 28th... Woooo Just don't bring on the fashion show of your last visit
