On saturday Lehtinen was trying to pass Malinen from the inside and collided with Malinen. Both fell and Lehtinen excluded. Lehtinen appeared too be a bit disappointed with the decision, thinking it could have gone the other way. In the re-run Malinen was leading Aakko and as Aakko passed Malinen tried a bit too hard and crashed on his own. Second re-rerun saw Seppänen taking his first individual Finnish championship medal on his 25th try. Good for him!

Thanks for that Petteri. Malinen seems to have very great talent, that is good for Finlands Iceracing Team.

Official statement from the organizer Peter Scharler - Innsbruck

taken from the EISSPEEDWAY-INNSBRUCK homepage

Both Google Translate and Babelfish are refusing to translate this page Jacqueline, any chance of a rough translation? It appears to be a loaded as a jpeg and the translation sites can't read it.

(Yes I know, I really DO need to learn a bit more German than ordering beer! )

You'll survive with beer and you'll survive just as well with not knowing everything that is written in german...

Aakko only said about Insbruck that there's not much hope if you plan to ride on friday to sunday and start building the ice up on thursday...

Happy Birthday POSA!! 62 & still going strong!!

May I add my greetings to that.

I just hope he's in Assen this weekend - even as a spectator. I've been going to the Ice since 1985 and I've yet to see a World Championship without him competing. This will be the first World Championship event I've been to where he's not ridden.
