@DutchGrassTrack: so Sven Holstein won't be competing in the European Junior Championship then. Also I expect Stellingwerf to shine this winter, as he had a good season last year.

Well this has been confirmed, Holstein and Stellingwerf will race in the Team Championship.

Bit of a shock that Danil beat Krasnikov, but as Danil was one of the three riders to take points of him last year. Good omen for 2010?

According to Swedish coach Ola Westlund only 5 will qualify from St Johann, does anyone know the reason of that?

If it`s true Posa will have a hard time to make it in to the GP:s.

Terrible ice in St johann by the way.

It's unlikely that Knapp will qualify from Sanok and will take a mandatory PZM slot in the series that is taken from the St Johan qualifier.

So Krasnikov is beatable. Looking forward to Assen this year. I'm hoping that Posa will make it through as well - for one last bow.

EDIT: Look in here quite often, but don't often post. Keep it up guys - this thread is very informative.

All the best

He's not dropped that many points this year Rob, and won the Russian Title despite suffering an engine failure in the Russian Final. He's looking odds on to win 6 World Championships in a row. (So the photo will be an outstretched palm on one hand and a thumbs up on the other  )

See you in Assen Rob

Looking at the Live updates it was a great meeting.

Commiserations to Mark - but it was the toughest qualifying round!

Mark said he gave it a good go but it was tough out there.

He broke his frame yesterday in practice and spent the night welding it.

Not a great weekend.

Now for the long trek home and back to work Monday morning.

Great meeting to watch, but Krasnikov was just riding round in the run off and Danil was too. Ivan was away. Looked like they said it's Ivan's turn to win. On the other hand Knapp has turned into a great racer. Roll on the World Championships!

Thanks for the info Pam, explains why he had such a tough meeting. Hope to see him at some point this season.
