How does the format work: top two pairs from each group into semis or into a round robin second stage or just group winners against each other in a Final..??? rabbit
Looking forward to making the trip over to the Island for this one tomorrow- the line-up looks strong, and how nice not to have to be worrying about which riders will pulling out because of continental commitments! Hope to catch up with a few people there tomorrow, Leigh, Parsloes, Lucifer Sam (might even bring my Oxford pen for old-times sake! ) Certainly going to be a lot warmer than my last visit there, that's for sure... Edited for spelling! Edited August 17, 2009 by rabbit
Parsloes 1928 nearly
That's a distinct possibility. All the best Rob As opposed to the past three years when it's looked a "distant" one!!!

BobC
What is the criteria for this meeting? I ask as Bmth wanted to nominate Herne and Hart, but were refused,as Hart is officially only a reserve. Yet I see that Buxton have nominated Cook, who is officially still a reserve! If Bmth dont win this, then I hope Plymouth do! I will be cheering for Kyle, unless its Bmth v Plymouth.

One might've imagined that ANY pairing could be named. Anyone remember Karl White in the Boston line-up in 2005..??!! But I also recall in 2005 begging the League Co-ordinator (sic) for a format on the Wednesday (prog. deadline day), only to be told !there wasn't one, just make one up"; only for said esteemed gentleman to waltz into the refs box at the interval on the day of the meeting itself, take out a piece of paper which he said WAS the format and then insist that everyone's already filled-in progs be changed. The action blackened the name of the promoting club and those who produced said prog. and - do you know wot..! - I still ain't forgiven 'im!! Parsloes 1928 nearly
As long as each team is programmed with an equal number of races from the inside and outside gates. All the best Rob Well quite. But THAT wasn't what the sainted Co-ordinator changed was it...! I'll explain it over that beer.. Actually I'll never get that beer that way (even I'd avoid me if this subject was going to be raised AGAIN!! ) - I promise I WON'T mention 2005, if you buy the beers!!! lucifer sam
Incidentally we're doing the Ben Fund collection tomorrow so I'll be donning the fetching canary yellow gear. And whilst coins are very gratefully accepted, notes are much lighter and easier for me to carry. All the best Rob
