foreverblue
Cant see it being a great meeting, too many races with top riders against also rans,i probably would have gone if it was 20 quid but 25 just seems too much.
SuzieQ
Its knowing that, that bloke is going to be on the mike that is putting me off. You just have to stand with people that you can chat to and ignore that insane ramblings from the centre concrete/tarmac stuff Muppet! That is what I intend to do! I am going to support the riders that I want to support and not the ones that are rammed down my throat to support!
Gemini
Anyhow i`ll be coming to this meeting as i think there will be some great racing and some controversay thrown in for good measure where will some of you be watching from ??? Coventry forum members are scattered around the stadium usually but the majority (all the important ones) are on the 1st bend. I'm on the 4th with a group of friends and my dog so should be easy to spot if you fancy a walk round sometime during the evening. Bring your earplugs though as the P.A. is deafening on that bend. alkadera
I'm going to brave this out with my two kids - 7 and 4! Must be mad. Is the grandstand a free for all to get in or is it reserved etc?? Never seem to be available when we go to Cov recently. Cheers Alk

Think you mean the controversial ones!! But not sure how many will be there, as the two main protagonists - SCB & SB will be at Somerset. We wont be at Somerset now but still undecided about Friday and will probably only decide Thursday night / Friday morning! So PirateAndi - it looks like Gemini will need to keep you company on bend 4!!

If he wins the u21 title at Gorican 0n oct 3rd then it could be a possibility,i certainly wouldn`t rule it out.

Isn't he too young? Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't there an age limit of riding in the GP's - 18 years old isn't it, or have they scraped this? Possibly but if they wanted him in the series they could soon change the rule ! they could ask the BSPA for advice.
bazaar3
Wouldn't it be fantastic if Zorro got into the GP at his ripe old age. The guy has been around for so long and I think he deserves his year for being an excellent and fantastic ambassador to the sport. He gets better with age, although I don't ever remember Cov being one of his favourite tracks. My money is Lindgren, Harris, Bjerre and Holder battling it out for the top 3 with Watty and JD as spoilers. Cheers Alk Grandstand is free once you are in, unlike the world Cup, where tickets were sold at even more inflated prices. I will be in the stand, hopefully in my usual spot just behind the start line, andI'm sure Jaques will be in the vicinity too. For those wanting to get a good choice of seat, the gates are opening at 5.00 pm and it will be first come first served, so get there early for the best pick! Was thinking of going to this but then to fork out £50 to hear that totally un biased commentator cheering on Bomber Harris all night is deffinitely not my idea of entertainment. If somebody could guarantee that the idiot wasn't going to be there I might be persauded to change my mind!!!! Don't let Yorkie put you off from coming to what could be an entertaining meeting, we just talk amongst ourselves when he is waffling, and anyway he is less annoying than the porky chap at Wolves IMO. With the addition of Hampel I would be inclined to agree.

BigFatDave
Always amazes me the excuses people who reckon they're Speedway fans come up with for not attending Meetings. You've got 16 of the best riders going around at the moment on show all fighting for the right to appear in the top flight next season. If I was anywhere within 500 miles of a show like this one I'd be crawling over hot coals to get there, hang the expenses, who gives a stuff about the announcer, but then I just enjoy the Sport. Some folks just enjoy whingeing.
Trees
And all could be lost to the GB if they get through to the GPs ............... who here wants to support that?
