pirateandi
Gulp! 10AM restart over here. More importantly, rain damage to the track not getting much time to recover. Forecast not too positive from now and through the morning. Anyone know what the rankings are if the trophy is awarded as such. I want to get some money on at Skybet lol! 1 poland 2 australia 3 sweden 4 russia at a guess
Rico
To work around the Elite League would mean to ride on a Tuesday (Sweden) or Sunday (Poland) because that's the only days of the week that isn't used by Elite League (AFAIK, we also have a h*ll of a time being allowed two Wednesdays for the Swedish Elitserien play-off by the BSPA). I wonder how many days in a week is necessary to run speedway in Britain...eight I guess. Excellent post Anders, always nice to hear a view from the 'outside world'. Hell is an ok word, even for those complaining about the SWC getting in the way of their church time. Rico
ladyluck
There is a simple solution of course, the BSI just don't give Poland any major events in future. I wouldn't mind seeing a Speedway WC Finals at Hampden Park in Glasgow The Poles pay to stage these events. As long as they pay, BSI will keep giving events to them. Who is going to pay to host an event at Hampden Park?
Trees
I guess we should all know that in the pecking order of world speedway, the Polish league do see themselves as above even the FIM. But how much sway do the FIM have in the staging and restaging of the SWC, isn't it like asking what control the ACU have in the staging/timing of BSPA meetings? crazysue
Makes no difference to me if the meeting is on at 10 in the morning or 6 tomorrow night (well in fact, 6 in the evening is a little difficult as I would have to speak very nicely to my mum to get her to let me watch while down visiting them!) as I regularly have to get up at all weird times of the night to watch F1. In fact, 10 suits me quite nicely..not far off my normal shaking off my sleep clouds and a chance to watch a bit before starting the Sunday dinner. It also means that more people will be awake for me to annoy with my requests for texters and updaters!

Rico MidnightLady really has to learn about Glaswegians... Weegies don't pay you to perform for them... You blooming well perform or you have had it !!! On the other side of the coin, if you do perform well in Glasgow, the crowd are absolutely the most up for it anywhere and will let you know it. ... why would you hold a major event in any other second rate city? ciderman
Just checked on the Sky listings for Sky sports two, it's showing no listings available, so I am guessing its not good weather out there and possibly we maybe not going ahead this morning. Think your being too suspicious! They seem to have pulled off the old listing, but not got round to putting the speedway in yet. They have made space on SS 2 and HD though. T.N.T.
Poland are 4/9 to win the final but Australia at 2/1 may be a good bet if Adams, Crump and Holder are on form. Batchelor can pick up points at Leszno and Watt will fight for everything, so I may have a small bet on them. Just been on facebook and went to add Leigh Adams as a friend, underneath it said ... Leigh only shares certain information with everyone. To learn more about Leigh, add her as a friend. Is he really a Shiela !!

T.N.T.
Weather in Poland...mmm http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/Poland.htm If you click on Leszno from the link on the side, it says rain is due in the afternoon and should be dry in the morning, so here's hoping. Cant see the track would have dried off much, so they will probably take the top layer off, then lay down some fresh material just before the meeting starts. If you're watching Eurosport2, that's a recording, but I doubt the weather has changed much from yesterday anyway... Fingers crossed though, you just never know...
