spin king junior
well done to the english boys rode their hearts out,, makes you proud to be British. Spot on buttons, the lads were racing thier socks off. I think it was a good idea leaving scotty out of team, the youngsters deserved a shot at having some experiance in the world team cup and its going to definately pay off in the later future
Paulco
you all need to get over it! they all rode their socks off!!! be proud.............don't start blaming individuals!!! Don't think most sensible people are . It was a gallant effort tonight , but it was just the initial building block of a process that could take 2 or 3 years . crikeythatsfast
Nicholls as proven all season that on the big stage he can't do it. I bet you could not wait for it to all go ** up to post this could you? Predictable eh

no-brakes-uk
here we go.. its started.. I'm surprised Scott hasn't had the blame for the Iraq war by now And Rob has done a great job as manager already. People questioned his squad before monday but he proved them wrong.. (Although King was still slated on here for scoring 9 points on his debut!) Tonight, another 4 points and this thread wouldn't even exist, not even in the wrong section! youngy105
I thought Rob Lyon was the gaffer so who is this Lyons bloke? Not the former Belle Vue No.1 is it?

Deano
Hindsight - always such a wonderful thing. Had Scotty ridden and we still just missed out, wonder what the call would've been instead...should've tried a youngster instead of a struggling rider?? Spot on Rabbit, well said..... I can see the posts now.. "He can't even compete in the GP's, why was he selected, his golden duck has cost us... blah blah blah!!

orion
Lyon just cost us a place in the world cup final only a man with no brain would have pick Danny King in Poland needs to be sacked asap . Nicholls only had to score 5 and we would have mde it and then we would have had a chance of 3rd place ...i knew picking a pl man would cost up and have got it spot on ...who in there right mind would have not picked our best 2 world cup riders at boro . The trouble is we have to put up with a guy who plan is to pick a side who can't win

lucifer sam
Still bitter Rosco never got the job eh I reckon Rosco would have keeled over and had a stroke during the Heat 22 shenanigans. All the best Rob
scotty2hotty
Has anybody actually stopped to think that perhaps Scott didn't want to ride in the World Cup? Perhaps he asked to be left out. Perhaps he felt so low on confidence that he didn't want to potentially let GB down. I am sure he wouldn't have if he had ridden, but the guy probably thought that perhaps another bad world stage event would shoot his already low confidence to pieces. Mind you whatever he had of done would have been wrong I'm quite sure of that.
hatcham
Good job some of the people on here aren't Aussies, or they would be calling for Crump to be dropped for the final after he was beaten by Lindback Lyon would have kicked Crump out weeks ago, he prefers the younger guys. Bellers101
This must be Lyons spell as Team boss over. Over to Rosco. For once JH I agree with you. Rob Lyon is obviously a puppet for the Chumpman regime. Could of made better team choices or that select group have fallen out with certain riders hence the picks. Rosco would be a good choice as long as he doesn't lose his cool as is his nature.

If they got through he would of been hailed a tactical genius but he failed, end of, Lyon is the weakest link, goodbye!
