Guest Ashie Smashy
Credit where it is due, and I want to highlight Lee Richardson for his work both off and on the track all week at the SWC, he has conducted himself so professionally and even at the end there with his interview, gave an interview of utter professionalism and supportive of his team mates. On the track is one thing, but to act so professionally, probably at a time when disappointed is nothing but credit to him. I hope the younger Team GB boys look to his standard and not elsewhere. Chris may be captain, but Lee also did a captain's job this week.

I have criticised Lee for his actions and manner at Poole the other week but at Peterborough and now Lesno he played a blinder.

I have been critical of him too in the past, so I felt it is only fair I give him full credit for his work this week, the ultimate professional. orion
Cheers lee your just a world class rider who has to put up with a low rate tm ..a rider of your class to be dropped for the riders who were put in your place was shocking no other team in the world would have ever done that to there no 1 rider . Lets hope next year we get someone decent in as a tm and we will make the final like we should have done this year .

Spot on Hopefully people will now realise how important it is to have somebody who can gate with the best of them instead of someone who tries really really hard at the back! We would still have been in the race off... which Lee was picked for.
snapper-racing.co.uk
I thought Lee really looked world class tonight - very impressed. To be honest always liked his persona more than "the other one who shalt not be named" Really came across as a great ambassador for the Brits and should in honesty be captain. As for the Team - excellent progress, done a lot more than expected. We beat the Danish team and have come 5th in the World - Great achievement. Team spirit was evident - something that lacked in previous years. Im disgusted by the expressions of some forum members who are slating the team and manager... you cant win them all though. Sir Jasper
He was excellent value last night, as he has often been in the SWC, its a shame he has not been able to provide that form regularly in the gp's. Perhaps that performance may get a wildcard slot?
