I'm really not that interested to be honest. And, once again, why I have to justify my opinion, god only knows. If youre trying to dig me out over it, then I'm sorry to disappoint you. I have been called many things on this forum, but have not really felt it necessary, or had the desire, to meet the person who said it. It doesn't mean anything other than I really am not interested in meeting the likes of the forum members, most of who, are completely in love with themselves and their opinions.

End of.

Ah well, I tried!

I assume with Charlie taking over Sara isn't coming back. She did a fine job hosting the two meetings and I think her errors are caused more by her excitement at what is going on. I think her partnership with Chris is excellent and all we need now is for someone to join Kelvin commentating maybe Johnno!.

I never cease to have a laugh when a nameless and faceless person is asked to stand up & be counted by the very person they criticise. Yet they hide down a mole hole.

I dont know Bryn but his offer seems a friendly gesture. Have some balls and meet him. You'll probably get on well

I'm not perfect - far from it, I make mistakes - loads of 'em, but wherever I'm asked to announce / present, I simply do my best. If that's not good enough for you I can't help it!

I'll never forget the World U21 at Rye a couple of years ago Bryn, the one that was almost rained off ..... Your attempt at pronouncing Sayfutdinov had us in stitches!!! Not half as funny as that beard you were sporting at the time though!!!

The coverage tonight is poor compared to that seen during the World Cup, shame the 'Dream Team' couldn't get back from Poland/ drunk too much last night.

Yes, there were plenty of times during today's coverage when Charlie was struggling along ... however, instead of slagging her off too much, shouldn't there be a lot more criticism on this thread about Sky's decision in the first place to have her hosting both the run-off and the final ?

Whatever her previous work on football or motor racing, it looked a huge gamble to promote her to host these meetings as soon as Thursday's coverage started ... it's a massive step up from being the pits interviewer to holding a whole 3-hour show together even if the 25 races fit smoothly into those 3 hours.

Throw in either last night's long-drawn-out decision over the washout or today's big delay during Heat 20 and it's a virtually impossible step up.

Either Keith Huewen or Georgie Thompson (who's hosted this World Cup Thursday/Saturday sequence at least a couple of times previously) are far more experienced at waffling around waiting for things to happen ... Keith's dealt with plenty of crash/weather delays in all his various motor sport hosting and Georgie hosts Sky Sports News for 4 or 5 hours per shift several times a week.

They're both used to thinking what they're going to be chatting about in a couple of minutes' time while actually chatting along with the current moment ... it's something most viewers won't even realise is going on when this "thinking ahead" is done well but it shows up in a hurry when it's not being done.

Best way Charlie can build on today's extended coverage is to be proud of surviving it because she won't face many toiugher tasks than hosting a meeting that lasted around 6 ours over the two days instead of its scheduled 3 hours.

Charlie did a great job ad libbing during the rain off 'timeout' in in Poland yesterday no doubt with a producer yelling instructions in her ear piece.

For what it is worth one of my daughter's best friends presents on SKY SPORTS and I can tell you now she is almost boring in her quest to learn everything there is to know in what she comments on and all sports in general as she never knows where her next job is coming from. It takes time and I am sure she will get better. I think she is already super and pleasant on the eye too.

I got back into speedway again after say nearly a 20 year break, to come back wondering who Gollob, Adams.Nicholls and Pederen were. It seems ridiculous some five years on now they are household names.Chances are Charlie didn't know who these people were six months ago so it will take her time just like it has for Suzi Perry with road racing

Charlie or Sam Ermoloneko and Jonathan Green.... Charlie every time. Sam was an amazing rider, but he just can not do the interviews in the pits, although I thought he was quite good commentating one week.

I don't like the 'mate' from Johno every other word, but I have to say his input as a rider with his technical input on bikes and racing lines is one of the best out of all the riders that do commentator.

I wonder if perhaps the reason the usual crew were not at Lakeside tonight, was because Sky gave them a much needed day off after such a hectic week.

Charlie said on here Twitter page that they couldn't find a flight in time. Maybe they should have tagged along with Chris Holder. He managed to make it back.
