redlead
Leave Moley alone... Adds a bit of light relief. With a bit of luck he will have got stuck in the mud!

Wackie
Absolutely, the mole is funny. It never fails to make me smile. Let me add that the SkySports presentation of the SWC tournament was truely excellent and the presenters crew did one hell of a good job. All of them! Agreed, great extended coverage of the final today. Louis is a natural speedway presenter but really enjoyed his race commentary along side Sir Kelv who took the lead role today. Undercover Elephant
Yeah what is that Mole all about ........ The mole is a blatent rip off of Fox sports coverage of Nascar, ie:Digger, which is a camera positioned on the curbing on the bends on the oval tracks. T.N.T.
Charlie is fine, but there is something about anyone that steps in front of the camera's for Sky .... They all make mistakes every sentence Kelvin the other night described one race hard for the Australian as he was against two very good Swedish riders Think the Mole is a bit stupid myself, but they are doing well with the coverage and seem to have quite a few on these meetings now. For me, Sam Ermolenko, Chris Louis and Kelvin Tatum in a Studio, Nigel Pearson and Steve Johnston doing commentary with Charlie doing pit interviews would be a great set up. arthur cross
Yes, there were plenty of times during today's coverage when Charlie was struggling along ... however, instead of slagging her off too much, shouldn't there be a lot more criticism on this thread about Sky's decision in the first place to have her hosting both the run-off and the final ? Whatever her previous work on football or motor racing, it looked a huge gamble to promote her to host these meetings as soon as Thursday's coverage started ... it's a massive step up from being the pits interviewer to holding a whole 3-hour show together even if the 25 races fit smoothly into those 3 hours. Throw in either last night's long-drawn-out decision over the washout or today's big delay during Heat 20 and it's a virtually impossible step up. Either Keith Huewen or Georgie Thompson (who's hosted this World Cup Thursday/Saturday sequence at least a couple of times previously) are far more experienced at waffling around waiting for things to happen ... Keith's dealt with plenty of crash/weather delays in all his various motor sport hosting and Georgie hosts Sky Sports News for 4 or 5 hours per shift several times a week. They're both used to thinking what they're going to be chatting about in a couple of minutes' time while actually chatting along with the current moment ... it's something most viewers won't even realise is going on when this "thinking ahead" is done well but it shows up in a hurry when it's not being done. Best way Charlie can build on today's extended coverage is to be proud of surviving it because she won't face many toiugher tasks than hosting a meeting that lasted around 6 hours over the two days instead of its scheduled 3 hours. Sandie
Moley rocks...always gets a cheer in the rabbit household. We reckon he should be up for the BSPA presidency Well, I missed all the fun today as I was at work!!! But Im with Rabbit - We love Moley!! He's a gimmick and he works. We have so many negative issues about speedway these days and people are looking at ways to attract more viewers. Well Moley hopefully will encourage the younger (and sillier) viewers and guess what - we're all discussing him. So he works. We heard about the plans for Moley (flag waving etc) a while back following a non speedway link to the company that broadcasts for Sky. And they were so excited about the future of Moley. Still waiting for my T shirt though!!!! Cant wait to see what Moley does next. A series of his own maybe. Books, a spot on Corry Street - who knows!!!! Undercover Elephant
Crikey I may have to take back some of my comments about Charlie Webster! There's one thing I hate and that's annoying interviews at particular moments. Quite often riders are free to talk to you, some not so! Having Charlie to tippy toe around the paddock, getting in the faces of riders, who quite clearly do not want to be disturbed, are busy checking over something, and giving feedback to his mechanics....... It's not good tv and it's very cringe-worthy to watch either. Chris Louis looked completely lost at times when he did it last week. I dread to think though what messages are being relayed in their headsets, to posess them to take orders. You can see the annoyance at times, when riders have microphones shoved in their faces when THEY are CLEARLY flaming busy! Bed time......... Apologies mate if you thought I was critical of such use of material shown in the States, wasn't intended to come across that way - that was sarcasm!! I have a level 3 NVQ in humor of sense and in September I begin my national diploma in London. I'll keep you posted on my progress on my Twitter page mate! Hello mate.....would you give me permission to use your comment for a classic quote on another forum???? That has to be one of the funniest things I've seen posted about someone!!! It just so happened to be Sam!! An experienced and knowledgable person I'd add and someone who's passionate and enthusiastic to do his job the right way to the audience. He projects himself well and certainly DOES his homework on material for Sky. Who would you rather like? Rob Lyon.....oh please.....
