I backed Danny King to be the top scorer for GB at 16/1 and have been paid out as a winner. Should I get on to the bookmaker and say they have made a mistake. You've lost me on the Denman bit ,mind you a lot of your posts are a bit wooly.

nice punt!

Nice One Mick...16/1... Glad Danny didnt let you down.

No point arguing with Orion either, he cant see anything beyond his own snout.

Obviously, Danny was top scorer, as even the Bookies could see that Harris'

score included a Joker ride, which in old money is 3 points, the 3 extra for the

joker isnt counted, either in the Bookies eyes or that of the official scorers.

Confusing for some, as its used in the team score on the night, but....oh why

am I bothering, you cant explain the obvious to anyone who's stock answer

is "Whoosh"...

Never knew that bookmakers had taken over from the running of speedway have you got the link to when that happened ? looking on the bspa website it still says that Harris 11 top scorer did they get it wrong ?.

Good bet by the way maybe you should try and start putting up your bets after the event has finished more often ? got to be better than deleting your losing ones

Not at all Harris score 11 points and king scored 9 so he is not the top scorer ...what Bookmakers paid out on has nothing to anythink ? or do they run speedway now ?

So taking your logic if team gb have had won by 2 pts it would not have counted ? and the team who finish second would have won ? or are saying that every tac sub ever used did count and results should change ?

Also thou Harris scored 11 and 3 were from double points king scored 2 from a tac sub ride so if you took both of them away Harris still would be top scorer .

I think G/B should go with Lee and Scottie tonight with Eddie and Tai making way

Danny and Lewis were the best of the young guns on Monday and deserve their place

Don,t think Rob Lyons made the right decision starting with a inexperienced rider in the first race as it puts too much pressure on a guy who is already on his maximum nerve ends hope we start with a bit more this round

cheers Mick

Eddie Kennett was pretty poor on Monday and Lee Richardson would almost definitely do a better job in Poland but what would being dropped do for Edward's confidenence and would this help his enthusiasm and development for the future which is what this year was supposedly all about?

Tai was OK but I saw him at Wolverhampton and Ipswich on Monday and Thursday respectively last week and I have to say he is looking a little burnt out... or am I just expecting too much of this young talent too soon?

As was mentioned in a previous post, I did not see Nicholls in the pits at Peterborough on Monday and don't feel that his form this year warrants a place.

Eddie should be riding in Poland on a regular basis, as he isnt I would not pick him for tonight, and if his enthusiasm wanes because of being dropped then we dont really want him in the team ever again, These men are paid sportsmen, the better they are the better they get paid, if they are not able to take and learn from dissapointment they are never going to amount to much, they do not need treating with kid gloves.

Do you not think this is a massive step backwards?

Lets think back to what Rob Lyon has been saying about giving the youngsters a chance and building for the future! The bottom line is that we are not going to win this world cup! If we do anything but finish last tonight in my opinion we will have had a successful world cup. Rico deserves to come in based on his performances this season. But your comments about inexperienced riders and pressure is a little strange. King, Bridger, Kennett and Woffy have all raced in competitions such as the British Final and U21 events as well as Grand Prix qualifiers where there is pressure. The only way these guys will get experience is do be thrown in and told to just ride their bikes. Now i have nothing against Scotty but despite the last couple of weeks his form has been awful this season and he wont be much better if at all then our younger guys.

My team for tonight would be...

1. Rico

2. Lewis

3. Bomber

4. Tai

5. King

How can picking Rico tonight be building for the future ? if lyon was he should have left Kennett in or has that all change in 3 days ?

Saying we can't win the world cup is such a cop out no harm in trying to do your best and reach the final and maybe get a medal ..if everyone took the same attitude they were not going to try there best because they could not win sport would be in a sorry state .

For the first event, whatever team they put out was always going to beat Slovenia, it was a good chance to see what the younger riders can do when all the hype and talk stops and they actually get a chance to race against the best guys.

I think most people can tell you that Kennett struggles on the bigger tracks, maybe a little more was expected from Tai? However, the opportunity to see what they could do without it really making a significant difference IMO had to be done.

Having seen Scott ride last week he looks way better than at the start of the season and along with Rico, should be back in the team. Lewis, Tai, Edward and Daniel then fight it out for the last two spots. I'd personally go with Lewis and Daniel.

1. Harris

2. Richardsson

3. Nicholls

4. King

5. Bridger
