Kennett was going SO fast at the start of the season. Just seems to have got slower as the weeks have gone by.

This happened last year as well.

He started the season strongly, peaking at the British Final where he secured a Wild Card for Cardiff. Didn't impress at the Millenium Stadium and then saw his good form fizzle out.

For 2008 read 2009 !

Before the meeting yesterday I would have said bring in Lee Richardson and Scott Nicholls for Lewis Bridger and Danny King, but now I would go with the following;

Lee Richardson

Chris Harris

Poland

Tai Woffenden

Danny King

Lewis Bridger

I think that the spirit within the camp was excellent, and we need that spirit to carry one, brining back Lee Richardson for me is a no brainer, he is having a very good season in England and Poland as well, and has been our most consistent rider for Team GB over the years, and of the 5 from last nights meeting Eddie Kennett was the one that seemed to struggle the most, and I think he will in Poland as well.

I don't see us qualifying for the Final, but I think we now have to stick with young guns, and let them now have their time.

Only you of all the people on the forum could suggest to dropping your top scorer. Still one out of three for you is not bad. Rico should ride but not at the expense of Danny King, but for Woofie.

When did i say we should drop Harris ? He was our top scorer  your not very good on facts are you ? what was it the other day Denman came nowhere in this years gold cup

Do some homework before you post .

i still think we have an outside chance to go through especially with everyone elses problems and while theres a chance you have to go with the strongest line up and that includes Nickols and Ricko as both woofinden and kennett looked way off the pace and will be worse on a bigger track.

But i fear the manager wont pick Scotty as he wont want to admit hes wrong

Maybe it was already agreed prior to The SWC starting that Scotty wouldn't be riding, either at P'boro OR Leszno.

May explain his absence last night.

The same thing happened when he rode for Poole. By August, he had just gone backwards!

I noticed that the same thing happened last season. Maybe he burns himself out too quickly?

Interesting comment. Ed guested several times for Lakeside when Adam Shields was injured at the end of last season and I thought he did very well. However its one thing to come in as guest when you have nothing to lose and something else to carry a responsible role in yout home club week in, week out so the various comments do suggest he is a bit inconsistent. Ed's got a long career in front of him and plenty of time to learn, but at the moment he has still has to show he can deliver at international level so for this year at least, I agree with those who say don't take him to Poland. His chance will come again.

You need to do some homework, Harris wasn't really top scorer as one of his rides was a double pointer, so, in real money, Danny King finish with 9 & Harris with 8. I'm almost certain King would have scored an extra point but for an EF in his last one

Oh dear Fur Burger!!

While King did well on Monday we do have to remember it was on a track that he knows very well, so I am not expecting too much from him at Leszno, We have seen in the past Leszno is not all about riding the fence there are multiples lines which is what makes it a fantastic track (if prepared properly).

As for the thread question, I think I would go with Rico for Eddie and Nicholls for Tai, Nicholls deserves a chance under the new regime, however due to his poor form I would not put him as captain and if he is stroppy then Lyon needs to put him in his place!

Harris scored 11 King scored 9 simple as that so Harris was the top scorer unless overnight 9 has become more than 11

If thats the team Topaz, I am interested to see why Nicholls was not in the pits for the meeting, Was he practising with the rest of the squad during the day?

Thats just my opinion of what the team should be, do not know where Nicholls was, not my business, just think he could do a job in Poland.

I backed Danny King to be the top scorer for GB at 16/1 and have been paid out as a winner. Should I get on to the bookmaker and say they have made a mistake. You've lost me on the Denman bit ,mind you a lot of your posts are a bit wooly.
