Blazeaway
Just thought i would see how many of you watched the World cup last night and heard on several occasions the pundits said` Buster Chapman has prepared another great racing track' and ` it is a real racers race track'. Why did the BSPA ask Buster to prepare the track if the Kings Lynn Track has only got home advantage ??? Perhaps some of the people on here who constantly knock the Kings Lynn promotion and track will shut up !!! Like Kings Lynn, it was a fast, smooth track which had all the ingredients of a great racing track if you attacked it. Well done Buster. Maybe the airfence gave the riders more confidence to "attack it" It's also a lot to do with engine set up. I would suggest the riders last night had a few quid more to chuck at tuning etc than your average Premier League rider. I guess most riders are loath to spend money on an engine specifically for Lynn which is a pretty unique track, due I believe to the clay base. Mitchell Brothers
then you are missing the point of my name as you dont know what you are on about on both counts, i am not saying that the track last night was not of a high standard it is an elite league track after all so you would think it would be of good standard, and rob lyon probably had something to do with chapman doing the track he is after all the team manager So, if it was an elite league track, why was the normal Peterborough track curator not doing it ???? Maybe, just maybe the BSPA asked him???????

foreverblue
Well im not sure why the Kings Lynn track is so different now,its not just the riders because when the elite riders was there a couple of years ago it was boring to say the least, but when they rode in the elite league it was known as the best race track of all and nobody complained it wasnt fair and away riders enjoyed riding there. Bellers101
Fair play to Keith Chumpman, he prepared a fair track for everyone, if it had been GB v Poland v Aus v Lynn it may have been a bit different though. The point to note is prepare a fair and decent track we will have good racing. Promoters up and down the land please take note. Yes we want our teams to win but the racing takes priority! Mitchell Brothers
i can do what i want when i want and if that is answer a question with a question so be it, whats your answer by the way i missed that By saying in your words it was an FIM meeting clearly shows how well Buster puts on a race surface. Yes Peterborough is an elite league track but why then did they not ask the elite leagues Curator to prepare it ???? I suppose he was at Asda that night was he ??? Listen to me I AM NOT SAYING THAT THE TRACK WAS NOT REALLY WELL PREPARED JUST THAT THERE IS ALOT MORE THAN TRACK PREP THAT GOES IN TO A MEETING FOR A START THE CALIBRE OF RIDERS, THE SHAPE OF TRACK THE TYPE OF MATERIAL USED TRACK PREP IS JUST ONE PIECE OF THE JIGSAW Edited July 15, 2009 by Warm&Cosy

Bagpuss
I would imagine that Peterborough's shale has a little less clay in it, but thats the only difference. Its a myth that the NA track is three feet deep in dirt, and that line is usually trotted out by people who haven't even been!
