Andersen Crash In Sweden.

Recommended Posts

Hans went over the fence in Swedish match tonight, after tangling with Emil Satfudinov and Andreas Jonsson. Looked nasty but after treatment got up and walked back to the pits. Very lucky reminded me off Swiderski crash at Ipswich.

OMG !!! Hope he is ok.....

It looked very nasty from what I could see - unfortunately the live stream was freezing quite a bit tonight for some reason. Although I couldn't understand any of the commentary, which was in Polish, it was clear that Hans was able to walk, unaided, back to the pits. Hopefully nothing more than a bit shaken up.

I did actually grab a screenshot when they showed the replay and was going to post it at the time within the thread for tonight's matches on the web. Hans was certainly lucky as he flew over at quite a speed and in startluing fashion. He seemed to be clasping his hands in prayer whilst receiving treatment, however, i think it was more offering thanks than anything else. As mentioned in the specific thread the quality of the feed, even in full screen, was superb and no glitches.

Hans is in the hospital now

i think it could be a minor hand injury. He was holding his hand when he walked back to the pit.

anyhow what happened was:

1. Hans had the lead over the straight

2. Emil closes in on the outside and is equal to Hans just before the bend.

3. Emil try to pass Hans but Emil (imo) is a bit too reckless and and cuts in too narrow in front of Hans who have no where

to go when Emil falls over Hans front wheel both takes a tumble, Emil is caught by the airfence and is partially stuck under it while Hans

has a direct head-on input on the airfence and flies over the fence. Luckily the speed had been lowered by the airfence sop Hans got away

with a scare and what i think some sort of hand injury.

OMG that must of hurt, why the hell did Sajfutinov turn in so hard he had loads of track ............. I'm beginning to wonder about some of the decisions that boy makes, he needs to take a look at his riding and give more respect to his fellow riders!! He sure is carving out a reputation for himself ...... perhaps that's the plan eh!!

Unless he changes there could be a very nasty accident. It is all well and good being enthusiastic and exciting......but he is looking at the very least careless if not down right dangerous. And from what i have seen, his mechanic isn't helping him much with his attitude

What started emils problems was a few heats back when Aj came from another planet to pip Emil on the line,in that heat Emil was so far ahead i think he was coasting a little bit but when Aj beat him on the line the red mist came down and you could see in his next heat(the one before the crash) that it had got to him and he was determined to try and reverse his slip up which fair play to him is good but not at all costs.Think he was mad with himself! and completely lost the plot .

Come on. People, you need to stop.

Did Emil fence anyone on purpose? As far as I know all his GP accidents were caused by other riders and here he was just trying to cut in front of Hans and missed it by few inches which caused the nasty crash.

But he is simply young, full of passion and there is nothing wrong about it. Or you maybe prefer such boring riders like Adams, Nicholls, Richardson, Hampel to only name a few gate and go specialists?

Young Gollob used to be a bit crazy, Nicki not only crazy but sometimes rode unfair on purpose to leave opponents no room and make them shot the throttle off. But at the end of the day you go to the stadium to see some action and entertainment. Bring me more Saifus, more Gollobs, more Lorams and I will be happy as hell. That's speedway!

I don't think Emil deliberately tries to fence or hurt anyone, but he does need to learn from this incident with Hans. I think the kid is a revelation and is great to watch as he is so desperate to win.

On many occasions now though, I have been watching and wincing as he has come perilously close to wiping other riders or himself out. I think the kind of incident that happened with Hans was waiting to happen.

Lets hope he does take it on board because in all honesty, Hans was lucky to get away without a serious injury or worse; the next rider might not be as fortunate.

Hopefully experience will help him. I dont want the lad to stop racing for every point but at the same time riders need to be able to trust each other.

If the role had been reversed and it was Hans cutting across Emil there would have been 20 pages of comments about how dirty Hans is by now, I agree Emil is good entertainment and potentially is going to be a huge star but he needs to calm down a bit and stop spitting the dummy when things dont go his way. Hope Hans is ok and back in action soon.
