Fourentee
It has been reported that there is no vacancy in the PL. We have to shut down at least a year and might be accepted if a promoter then applies. Reported where and by whom, please? Not doubting you, just interested in the provenance. Gemini
No Gem, it's probably because Leicester will be running PL that there is no room for another team Oh go on blame us! Give us a chance as it's been a long while since we've had a track. Anyway, no one knows yet what will be happening next season but I reckon that teams who can't make it pay in the Elite League shouldn't automatically think they can just drop down a league when it suits. But we'll just have to wait and see what happens over the Winter as there could be big changes afoot throughout all the leagues.
krompa
Does anyone know the draw? From BSPA website: MEETING FORMAT 9 pairings (teams) race over 18 qualifying races (each pair has four rides each). Top four scoring teams will contest in two semi-finals. The two winning semi-finalists will then compete in the Grand Final. The winners of the Grand Final are declared 2009 Elite League Pairs Champions. Points scoring system: 4-3-2-0 Means your team will only meet 4 out of 8 opponents and the draw is very important. Any idea when will it be announced? Edward Barrett
Well, it is a lovely day down here in Sussex, and the weather is set fair for the whole day. So, any of you thinking whether to make a final, nostalgic, trip before we lose our club, in the well worn phrase, "come on down". Seb the Snail
I can understand why the rules are set out like they are, but Swindon's chances really are non-existent through having to select Simon and not Travis. Moose is way better at Arlington, and in great nick at the moment. Cracking day anyway by the look of it, so good luck to all that are going. Grachan
Travis "I can't be beat" McGowan is riding apparently. Swindon Evening Advertiser he say: LEIGH Adams and Travis McGowan will go for glory tomorrow in the Elite League Pairs Championship at Eastbourne’s Arlington Stadium (7.30pm). The Robins duo will be looking to win the title for the club for the third time, the last two victories coming in 2004 and 2005. On those occasions, Adams partnered Charlie Gjedde and then Lee Richardson as the championship winged its way to Swindon. The prospects of Adams and McGowan look promising, with the former having shown superb form all season domestically. And McGowan, stepping in as a last-minute replacement for Simon Stead, is well-known for his ability on tight tracks and has guested successfully for Eastbourne. He also notched up a 15-point maximum at Belle Vue on Monday.

Grachan
Why no Stead? Hmmm. Why no Stead? At Eastbourne? Why Travis? Difficult one. Let me think...
Steve Shovlar
And surely against the rules to bring McGowan in ( not that Swindon will win this my money is on Wolves) If Stead is fit he should ride.
Zetters
Good Morning! Sorry if this question have been before? But why isn´t Ziggy Zagar in the pair?? To expensive I belive!?
LisaColette
Well Harris thinks Poole are the biggest threat. Lets hope he's right and that we go on to win but i just have this feeling Coventry will do it, they are always denying us lately. Grrr...... Silver Bee
I'd be disappointed if we didn't make the semis. Wolves for the win, Poole second.

ATB Dave I'm not saying its not the correct riding order but Danny was replaced by Troy early in the week and the BSPA haven't picked up on that. Looking forward to this, will feel weird to be cheering Scott and Troy as the Ipswich pair though. Hope Scott has finally got his Ippo kevlars. Will be heading off for a few hours down the front before the meeting.

IW08
I think that Wolves, Poole, Peterborough and Coventry will be the 4 semi-finalists but to pick two out to make the final out of that quartet is difficult because they're all strong around Arlington. But why isn´t Ziggy Zagar in the pair?? To expensive I belive!? cause Zagar would throw a strop if he retires from a race and Sky don't want him punching a rider from the centre green
Silver Bee
QUOTE (Rob B @ Aug 8 2009, 11:49 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Krzystof Kasprzak has pulled out with flu virus, James Wright takes his place. Oh no, now they might not win.
