machinn
previous engagement or not enough money on offer I'd say. That's what I thought probably the latter Dosent this happen every year though?? We get a really promising line up and they then drop away like flies?? Seems so, teams end up not actually fielding their strongest pair afterall as with Swindon this year. As it's on a saturday aswell, many riders will choose not to bother or have meetings elsewhere. Are Sky covering this, I was under the impression they were?

sussex bulldog
Another galling aspect is that the bspa fixtures for August now show the meeting is Eastboournes 80th anniversary and not the Coventry meeting, me suspects a fast one here from mr dugard but anyway as previously said it's his loss and even more so is my southern tour every season will not any longer include Eastbourne..... Cheers for taking time to reply / comment The date was always set as Eastbourne's 80th Anniversary meeting. That bit has not changed. topaz325
Eastborne to win easily, this is a farce holding the Pairs at Eastbourne where the Eagles pairing will have home track advantage. This meet should be held at a neutral track......................somewhere like ............Workington perhaps.

They are in with a shout, but PK and Freddie have seen them off around Arlington this year. I still think the Poole pairing will be up for it and Poole will be wanting something to come away with this season, and I think this is the last chance of a title of sorts ? Arlington hasn't been a happy hunting ground for Simon Stead so I think Swindons chances are massively reduced without Zagar, fair to say that Adams and Zagar have been the quickest away pair round Eastbourne this year. RPNY
IF all of the teams are represented as shown above then it should be a good meeting. However I fully expect at least a few riders to drop out.
AndyPatch
Now I know there is probably an unwritten rule that you shouldn't post before a bit nearer the event - but I'd thought I'd risk it. Well it is only a week or so away!!! ELITE LEAGUE PAIRS DRAW: BELLE VUE (Krzysztof Kasprzak/Morten Risager) COVENTRY (Chris Harris/Edward Kennett) EASTBOURNE (Lewis Bridger/Davey Watt) IPSWICH (Scott Nicholls/Daniel King) LAKESIDE (Lee Richardson/Jonas Davidsson) PETERBOROUGH (Niels-Kristian Iversen/Kenneth Bjerre) POOLE (Hans Andersen/Chris Holder) SWINDON (Leigh Adams/Simon Stead) WOLVERHAMPTON (Fredrik Lindgren/Peter Karlsson) Im gunning for Mr Clean and Steady. There are some good partnerships this year and should make for a great meeting. So, who is everybodies fav???

Hackett
Think the prices for the Super7 events are determined by the SCB / BSPA rather than Eastbourne. £20 seems a little steep if they left it at £15 could of possibly been a full house. To be fair there are apparently 20 heats.

Adder
Why is Stead riding for Swindon? I was assuming it would be Adams and Zagar but if the latter is unavailable due to a prior engagement then track specialist Travis should be in rather than Steady who normally looks anything but round Arlington. Must be two from top three averaged riders per team Adder.
Adder
Must be two from top three averaged riders per team Adder. Can't see that criteria published anywhere although given speedway's lack of transparancy on such matters you could well be correct.
