snapper-racing.co.uk
Snapper you have a whole year to save up. Stop the moaning if its too expensive dont go, simples. As for the processing fee i had to pay it on my tickets for this year . Yes its an expensive weekend but by god is it worth every single penny. Programmes £8........ Dont start you didnt have to buy one if you didnt want to. OMG £8 thats insane - The other year when I went I got one free with my ticket price which made it more worthwhile. Im just trying to raise the point that we are officially less well off at the moment - especially for luxuries and nights out... yes we may have a year to save - but for some it will take that long to have enough disposable cash to pay for that weekend. Yet it seems prices have not fallen and are not in line with public spending or incomes. They have in fact increased as have food prices and fuel . The stadium was far from full at the weekend, i saw thousands of empty seats - surely if they could lower the prices by a bit more it would attract more support and fill the place. Im almost definitely going anyway - especially after missing out these past 2 seasons - and with it being held on my birthday next year = Im just raising the point that we seem to be paying for the empty seats which couldve been sold cheaper. Snyper1010
Yeah they probably could but then even if they were cheaper by a few quid that doesnt save money on as you say fuel and food or rooms for most. Most people that dont go isnt because of the ticket price but the cost of getting there and eating, sleeping etc Diet that aint true i checked them after every 4 heats

Bill leahy
July 10th had to be, June 10th till July 11th world cup, with the final on the 11th there be nothing on the 10th except third fourth play off, nobody watches that, they may even have a time curfew in South Africa and have to cancel it......so the best date all round, unless your planning a trip out to SA

crazysue
That was us this year Hagon, decided to go upmarket in our hotel and never regretted it (not the Hilton though, looked at it, dreamed about it but then decided not to). As for tickets, I would love to splash out and get the posh tickets but it comes down to what I can really justify spending...one day though. John Hannibal Thomas
on a more positive note, hopefully William Hill will have noticed the cardboard 5 pint holders that you get at Cardiff. Could do with those to help the muckmen encourage the lads without too much of this traipsing back and forwards to the bar.

This year my group travelled there and back in the same day -- have to limit the alcohol intake and can be very tiring!! Next year I hope tostay over 1 or 2 nights but I am struggling to find a hotel with vacancies

Snyper1010
I could never do the one day thing for the simple reason its a 6-7 hour journey one way lol. Plus i hate being rushed.
crazysue
It's fun but very very tiring.....I decided I was getting too old for travelling for over 12 hours in one 24 hour period plus watching a GP and meeting up with people.
Snyper1010
I like the light social drinking before the meeting then the real drinking afterwards. So i love to stay over. Great fun it is.

crazysue
No idea on the Hilton room sizes as we decided we just couldn't afford it in the end...I did think we would maybe stay there in future but we have now found the hotel we love and will stay there from now on in...we've even got the same room next year as this year! Shadders
Having missed the GP this year due to childcare issues, the ex wife has been warned well in advanced that I'm off to Cardiff for the weekend next July ..... B4e's dad has taken care of all the hotel and meeting tickets, all I have to do is stump up the cash to pay him!!
