f-s-p
600 dollars for Emil and 500 dollars for Scotty according to last nights Sportspegeln on SVT1 (Swedish BBC). They had their reporters at trackside.
wotnoaj
T.N.T, your tv must show things differently to everyone elses! Emil was on the left of Scott and so was the gate, very clearly so! Scott was trying to go left but Emil would not let him and ran them both into the fence, which is when Scott pushed Emil and the rest as they say is history. Complete rubish im afraid Pearcey, Scott rode Emil into the open pit gate by turning left on him....
Dave_minall
I have had a look around but cannot find any details of the FIM jury's decision regarding Scott and Emil. Has anyone heard about the punishments handed out (if any) I noticed on the SGP website that until the FIM jury decide on the fate of the 2 riders, the Cardiff SGP result is not official. I would imagine that to mean that Scott and Emil may lose points. I'm trying to run a Fantasy Speedway Comp but need the British GP results to be confirmed! Just on another quick point, do you think it hurts the head of the guy being punched on the crash helmet or the guy's fist throwing the punch? mmmm I heard Emil's team manager say on TV that he had gone to see the Doc to get his head checked out.......physically not mentally!! I find the title of this thread to be mis-leading my friend. It seems at a quick glance that you actually know what has been handed out, rather than you asking to know what it was. edmon
Did you watch the GP or are you just Guessing what happened, because Scott never ran Emil, one Punch Sudjfutinov into the fence!. Scott wanted to go down the tunnel but Emil pushed him into the airfence pit gate, Emil also threw the first punch, get your facts right pal!. Cornishman's facts were correct. While the first punch was from Sayfutdinov, Nicholls was first to raise his hands by pushing him making him the instigator of the handbags action. colincooke
Dont you get smart with me Yeh obviously Emil being an immature, insert appropriate word here, was the cause of the incident. But the first physical move was from Scott. Although the first punch was Emil You're obviously not listening & veiws like yours are what is trying to cause a rift. It could clearly be seen that Scott was stopped from entering the pit gate by the spoilt little brat. Take of those blinkers pal.

It clearly shows Scott turning left and stopping Emil from going around the pit gate and into the pits. Also look at where the officials run from during the handbags, they run from the pits from behind the open pit gate!! From what i can see mate, the 1st verbal confrontation & the 1st nudge is from the spoilt brat, not by the pit gate but on the run back, but i respect some may see it differently. The spoilt brat's pit crew member didn't help matters by taking another swipe in the tunnel either.
iannewsman
Apparently they both appealed and the fines were changed: Nicholls - His toys were ordered back into his pram and will stay there for probationary period of six months. Emil - His dummy was confiscated and will be locked up for one year. Both were sentenced to 3 months in an open kindergarten. Stop press...both have had their Equity cards suspended for over acting. Sir Jasper
With respect Colin, I was replying to your post that states that Emil rode Scott into the pit gate when clearly this was not true. I was not saying anything about who started it as it was clearly Emil who started the verbals but Scott reacted in a bad way... Only after repeatedly telling Emil to go away, yet he kept on pushing it, I can understand the riders getting wound up but Holloway was a disgrace, it had nothin to do with him and he took a cheap shot, this should have been investigated, I also note he was not keen to get in between Emil and Scott as they walked back down to the pits he was rather content to hide Emil and other pit members. nigelW
Top Post.... someone that can see things with some perspective. All anyone has to do is look at Scotts body language, he is suffering in a big way. Some may say he deserves it, but personally I don't think he does. Way too many people on here are only too willing to jump on the guys back, akin to kicking the preverbial dog when its down (As they do with a multitude of other riders). Scott has been a fantastic servant to British Speedway, shame that some people have such short and bitter memories. If he goes out and scores a heap of points for Team GB in the SWC, these same people slagging him off will be hailing him as a hero no doubt. Chuffed to see Scott show some passion, even if took Emil the tart to wind him up. As was said earlier, if it wasn't Scotty, then it would have been someone else. The kid is losing the plot and with a manager/advisor, aka Andy Holloway, acting like he did too, its no wonder Emil is behaving like a spoilt brat. That man should be calming the kid down, not throwing his weight around and setting a bad example. Whatever anyone else says, Scott will be welcome back at Ipswich, if the story doing the rounds is true, welcome home Scotty. i hope he does end up back at Ipswich even though it would be way too far for me to come down and watch him race, lets hope he has found that bit that has been missing and shows all these tossers that are so quick to put him down that he still has it

Adder
The incident has certainly gained speedway more column inches in the national press and features on national news than it has had for many a year. No such thing as bad publicity! Totally agree that Ashley Holloway should be reprimanded though, he was bang out of order.

MUST tune all GB riders bikes free of charge for thr WTC and have spares bikes ready for anyone that wants one!!! haha quite! tbh I cant quite believe the detail that some posters have gone into about the incident so a few handbags were thrown... but what is apparent is that both riders got stuck in and we have some passion in the gp's that has been missing for a couple of seasons before people are too quick to hang draw and quarter Emil and his team ...we should acknowledge not only what guys like Gollob and Pedersen were like when they were young but also the life that Emil and his team have injected into this season
WembleyLion
I've no problem over Scott and Emil - it was heat of the moment stuff which they later regretted and apologised for. These things happen. However, the actions of Ashley Holloway is a different matter altogether and needs addressing.
