arnieg
no doubt (Richardson) he used to ride for the robins and if he was Polish he would be viewed as no better than Walasek........... I can see how he is GB's saviour and I take back everything Who is the top Brit in Elite League averages? Lee Richardson (Kennett is next) Who is the top Brit in the Swedish Elitiserien? Lee Richardson (Nicholls is next) Who is the top Brit in the Polish Extraliga? Lee Richardson (Woffinden is next) He may not be in the World's top ten, but he is the best we've got
orion
Not convinced that they actually DID use their best 5 tonight. However, I would agree that Rico should be in the team for the SWC....If he isn't in at Leszno (if we make it) then Lyon deserves a slap! As for Scott...He is having a howler of a season and I don't blame the boss for leaving him out. His form in Poland suggests that he isn't worth bringing back if we reach Leszno either. If Lyon going to stick to his guns then no way should Rico be brought in At Leszno ...He's got a game plan for 5-10 years time even Lyon can't change his mind in 5 days ? Lyon knows, as do we all, that we will finish third at Boro whether we have Rico & Scott or not so it's perfectly consistent to bring in others for Leszno for those that don't perform. Anyway, I'm Russian so what do I care!

Authorised
I was at Peterborough earlier this season, Olly Allen was the best British Coventry rider, Kennett only got a couple of points. Harris wasn't much better. Oh dear. True to form then! Kennett gets the better of Stojs, Santej and Gregoric for his 3. Kennett, Tai both underperformed. DarrenCook
Agreed, Kennett & Woffy too slow; bring in Scott & Rico.
spanner47
Agreed, Kennett & Woffy too slow; bring in Scott & Rico. Certainly bring in rico, but scott has been awful in poland this season. So might as well give one the lads a go.

Cornishfisherman
This monkey will forever be on our backs, it doesn't make our opinions mean any less. Daniel King was useless on Thursday at Swindon. No doubt he will be better at the EoES but it still won't be enough to get GB into the Race-off yet alone the Final. If he struggles to beat young Sedgman, will he get any closer to Adams or Zagar Yes he beat one of them if I remember rightly- and almost beat Gollob- 'Oh ye of little faith' ! and top scored if you disregard the extra joker 3 points gained by Bomber. Do you feel a bit of a 'Charlie' now ! Edited July 14, 2009 by Cornishfisherman

speedwaysquashman
Told you before most other teams try to pick the best teams not what colour they are or what age they are.. not a hard thing to follow is it ? Before tonight no one on gods each gave a Russia chance but they picked there best side and had a bit of luck and won ....you must always give yourself best chance of winning you seen tonight that one crash for a team and a rider could miss his rides and that team would have no chance of wining it . no good sitting here after the event saying we could have won that if we had put out our best side So Nicholls and rico for me every time intill someone shows me they are better ...pick the side on merit not age . All the British lads rode their hearts out last night and I for one a huge fan of under 15 at National league racing for one want all our young Brits to succeed.......but you should always put your best side out especially now we do have a chance of succeeding. So bring on Nico,Scotty,Bomber,Danny?????????? and Tai???????????

WHOA easy tiger!!! Scott will get blasted for not being there if he didn't want to 1. he should of gone along and supported the team as did Richardson!!! or 2. maybe an excuse could of been said by either the commentary team or Rob Lyon when being interviewed might have saved a few postings as to where he was. Before anyone says it no he doesn't have to answer to anyone BUT it would of gained him brownie points rather than everyone think he was sulking over his much publicised(sp) bust up with Bomber like someone else has said Hans and Nicki there is no love lost between them but they show a united from for the National team spirit. Brownie points from who? People who just cant resist having a poke? Wow, what a missed opportunity! If he had been there I reckon there would have been postings that he should have stayed away and let Bomber do his job, or saying that he has nothing to offer as he cant win a race himself. He cannot win either way. Who knows why he wasn't there. Maybe after having such a poor season and getting dropped from the World Cup team he was/is feeling pretty bloody miserable and maybe being at the World Cup was too painfull. He may have instead stayed at home, well away from anything to do with Speedway. He may have used the opportunity for a holiday with the family. What a selfish man he is if he did do any of these things though; he should know by now that he should only be making decisions based on getting brownie points from those who have stuck the boot in, silly man. Doesn't he realise all these people know him personally and know the reason behind every decision he makes. He might have been asked to stay away. He might have chosen to stay away. He might be sulking. He might be hurting. At the end of the day, none of us know.

I hate Lee Richardson with a passion but last night he went up in my estimation for being there maybe a few that dislike Scott would of changed their tunes about him but like you say at the end of the day ..... none of us know ...... maybe in his defense if he was asked to stay away someone can confirm this and that way put paid to the speculation as to who, what, why, when! Not that it is anything to do with anyone else but like I say to stop speculation and negative posts.

Can't think of any possible reason why he would have been asked to stay away, so people will assume that again he's having another hissy. If Rico, Hans, Rune etc can be bothered to show, its pretty feeble that Scott can't make the short journey across East Anglia to support the other lads. I don't blame you for sticking up for him I do the same to my friends and favourites no matter what but come on ........... if you're a speedway fan even you must know what Scott is like when it comes to spitting out his dummy
