KEITH M
I for one had time off work and made the long trip to see Mr Gollob. And yes felt really let down on his non appearance in the last heat. Well you seen him for four races, it wasn't as though he didn't turn up. It is a team event and his team couldn't do no more or no less on the night . Imagine if he had of went out and done what you wanted him to do and he had got injured You never hear football fans complaining that they took time off work when their star player is taken off after 70 minutes if their team is winning 3-0,4-0 etc to save him for the next match do you? Yet again speedway fans finding something petty to whinge about
ANDY2862
Sorry mis-understood not a whinge. Was really looking forward to the race with Jason Crump thats all. When you support a guy and only get to see him ride a couple of times a season you have to make the most of it. Also I have only just joined the forum and am getting used to the in's and out's of it all.

Okay sorry for saying it was a whinge if it wasn't but as you have just joined the forum you will not know that for some members whinging is their number one topic. Welcome to the forum anyway
wotnoaj
Yep, welcome aboard Ando! As KEITH M has just pointed out, you will soon get to see who the whingers are! Normally whinge about trivial stuff like what commentators say, what the pit girl is like, pointing out spelling/grammar mistakes or having a go at Scott Nicholls for any number of reasons. Also expect to see plenty of banter or vitriol about Britain! Other than that, enjoy yourself!
Adder
No doubt there will be a set time for the team to be announced to the correct authorities. Football i assume you are saying as a more professional sport but they don't have to confirm there team until an hour before kick-off. 'No' would have sufficed. topaz325
Great to see King answer his critics in style at the Abbey tonight! Our World Cup Superstar beat Sedgmen twice and Stachyra once; Crump, Gollob and Zagar must barely be able to sleep with worry!
ANDY2862
Thanks for the heads up guys. I will be in the minority as far as Scott is concerned then as I sponsored him for 3 seasons. Scott was always the last to leave the pit area at Ipo after meetings ( good or bad ) and could always find time for the fans. Sorry people you can all get back to topic now. tomcat
Thanks for the heads up guys. I will be in the minority as far as Scott is concerned then as I sponsored him for 3 seasons. Well I'm with you Ando... and welcome to the forum by the way. Scott has done more for speedway in Britain tha he is given credit for. Unfortunately, there are people on here that just want to have a go for the sake of it. Why?? Who knows, but they do and its getting more than a little tiresome to be honest. As for the Team GB boys Monday night, I saw lots of positives out there on track. Taking note of everything they did, some great gates, but places were lost through bad positional sense on track or a lack of power. Whether the latter was down to setups, we will never know, but they were passed way too easily. Danny King shut his critics up I believe, with a wonderful performance on track. It shows that he can do the business in with the 'Stars' of speedway. Tai looks like he was one suffering from a lack of horsepower. We all know he has the natural ability to race with the best, but just didnt look quick enough. Bomber was bomber, brilliant one minute, not so good the next, but again there is no doubting his ability mounted on the right equipment. Eddie just looked out of his depth, the only really low point for the team Monday. Never looks comfortable on big tracks and it showed. Lewis, again on the right kit, has what it takes and bags of courage and passion. Replace Eddie with Rico on Thursday and I think thats a fair team to go with. Ok so Scott could come into the equation, but I personally think he isnt ready for that again at the moment. Yes, I would love to see him in there, possibly in place of Tai, but his form is still a bit of a worry, despite an upturn in recent meetings. Whatever happen Thursday, if the boys picked give it their all, then I'll be happy. All you can ask is 100% effort and some passion, which we got Monday. C'Mon Team GB.. krompa
Any idea when official lineup will go public? Or it's gonna be hidden secret and confirmed lineup will be known 29 mins after the practice (which is from 13:00 to 15:00 CET)?
hagonshocker
Pick the right team tonight and they all attack the meeting with attitude then the Swedes and Danes are deffo there for the taking...if its a final of Aussies Poles Russkies and Brits then A. Sir Jasper
There must be forum posters who know which riders have travelled to Poland, for instance does anybody if Nicholls has travelled?

Ipswich Jules
Betting sites have odds on Harris, Bridger, Richardson, King and Woffinden to win races so I would assume that's the five.....
BongoBrian
Betting sites have odds on Harris, Bridger, Richardson, King and Woffinden to win races so I would assume that's the five..... I agree, that is probabbly the team. But if it is not this, I wonder if we might even see Woofy replaced with Kennett, purely for experience factor particularly away from home?
